lth's know what is going to happen over the next 10 weeks. nothing is going to stop ggp now, they are over the worst.

i'll start: a reminder:

26/10/25 quarterly report.[q3/25 activities report]. latest drilling results telfer.

q4/25. hav dfs and project schedule due (kpi: within 12 months of telfer acquisition).

h2/25. hav decline re-starts. 2 declines planned eventually.

for the 'average' (lth) in ggp, who leads a normal life, normal aspirations - and has been with ggp for the last 7,6,5 or so years; they know the worry is over and it is only a matter of time when the market catches up with this stock. you bought in 'early' and for all the pain, torment and frustration you have endured - the winning line is in sight. a year from now (max), you'll be wandering around with a permanent smile on your face. and about time too.

£5 by christmas (possibly more if the dfs is as better than expected).

One of the biggest gold/copper finds globally (Measured + Indicated: 31.3 Moz of gold and 12.4 Mt of copper) - expected to go live in 2028, just confirmed that its other discovery (Tandayama) has mineable grades of Au/Cu just 7.2m below ground level!!

I see you're posting one of your doom and gloom mantra's about everyone losing out if they haven't got gold under their mattresses - again ;)

If I may - I would like to bring it back into the realms of reality by suggesting perhaps gold could be the back stop for a future digital currency where a country's "fiat" is backed by a gold reserve rather than the pound/euro/dollar for example.

That's as close as anyone is going to get wrt using gold solely as the 'enabler' for purchase etc.

Problem with having too much reliance on gold:

1. If everyone made a dash for 'cash' under the new system, the affected country would run out of reserves. They wouldn't be able to reverse out of the crisis by printing more gold! They would go bankrupt overnight.

2. Individual countries would not be able to dictate their fiscal headroom (by controlling the output of their currency) because the gold backstop would have a global value, not a national one. Budgets would be difficult if not impossible to manage.

I think for the foreseeable future - digital currencies backed by FIAT over the next 15 to 20 years and then introduction of some gold to prop up reserves. But the future is digital, not gold.

[We're there now really - all our finances today are simply a string of zero's and one's.]

As far as individuals go - as I said before - dealing in gold bullion will always be "never never land". Peeps haven't a clue, nor do they care about managing their finances via gold as the platform. And so it shall remain.

Hi Wolves.

Peeps on this (and probably every other) platform discussing a stock (in this instance GGP), will always complain about skullduggery of one sort or another if the SP fluctuates for the worse when they had hoped it should have risen. They cite shorting and other dubious activities.

As we all know AiM may be the source for many of these misgivings - but the ASX fares a lot better.

It is simply peeps venting their spleen and finding a reason to blame their stock failing to rise exponentially and forever when there is good news.

Part of lifes rich tapestry.

GGP trading on the ASX200 5 Sep 2025 14:22

Just to be clear for those who aren't too sure what is going on currently:

GGP has formally been admitted into the ASX 200 and 300 as of today. Trading in this stock on those platforms begins in earnest on the 22nd September 2025. ETF's / Index's / II's need to buy approximately £80m of stock in GGP as soon as possible by or around that date to allow thier platforms to reflect their portfolios accurately. Obviously they need to persuade existing shareholders to part with their stock to achieve this aim.

The SP 'normally' reflects this rush for stock.

I'm sure we had this conversation all those years ago about this topic (Gold storage/use) but it seems (looking at the number of up ticks) the matter about which you advocate - is still quite popular.

There are practical issues in pursuing this course of action of course and I wonder if you could tell me (and others) how one 'works around' it?

For starters (and I hope you won't mind me expressing my views on the subject as we go along) - the US dollar cannot fail simply because it is too deeply entrenched in the fabric of world financial transactions. Failure of the dollar would bring countries down, dozens of them and as we all know - their governments won't allow this to happen. There are exceptions to this (BRICS) but on the whole - of the remaining 150+ countries outside of BRICS, the dollar (legal or black market) is king. It will take more than a Ukraine/Gazza/US debt pile to bring the dollar to its knees - methinks. For starters, the americans might have a say in that!

Secondly - the possession of gold. From a practical perspective - the massive (99%) majority of the public don't know how best to go about buying/owning/storing gold. Those who did look at it would probably be finance savvy anyway and would probably go down the road of going through a broker to buy bonds/savings metals in gold.....legitimately. And as you know/have stated - this is not the best way forward.

Persuading joe average that armaggedon is around the corner financially with respect to 'FIAT' is never going to happen. Persuading them to hand over their bank accounts/savings/dosh in exchange for gold bullion is never ever going to happen.

Thirdly - even if it did happen, how/where would it be stored? That's the easy bit. How does one spend it? Now that is the biggy!

Does one scrape some slivvers off the gold block to go to Tesco for the weekly shopping and hand it over at the check out?

Does one go down to the bank (if they still exist as FIAT no longer can be trusted) and hand over a block of gold (and exchange it for what?) before going shopping or on holiday? Do you buy your next house in gold?

How (in the real world) does one buy - store - use gold for everyday transactions without going through the FIAT filter? They don't. They can't.

In summary - gold (and by the way precious stones) is a (how shall I put it - to remain legit) "way" to avoid IHT and of course - a way to bypass inflation (long term) but its use for anything else it is totally impractical.

Your continuing promotion of gold suggests the world is coning to an end financially as we know it and by storing gold, this is a way of avoiding the fall out that would follow the collapse of dozens of societies that rely on the dollar (if/when it collapses).

I therefore 'assume' what you are really advocating is purchasing gold only as a long term means of bypassing FIAT in preparation for a rainy day / new car / buffeting against inflation / inheritance - yes?
