Morning Slim - thank you for your honest review of your exit strategy.

I have lived through half a dozen UK related FTSE crashes over the last 25 years. Each one set me back atleast a couple of years.

I am now in a position financially where cannot afford any more drag on my portfolio. Time as your dad said to spend it! One beneficial thing that did come from my experiences is that I have over time, come to understand the catalysts/triggers etc for an upcoming "pricing event" or Capital Flight as some call it.

One is brewing currently, the triggers being a mix of the AI bubble / circular selling / US debt etc etc. Of course the great unknown is: 'when'.

So my exit strategy will be based on this and (IMO) by mid to late 2026.

Younger peeps amongst us would possibly be able to live through the downturn and bounce (which is always good market advice anyway) but it's not for me this time. As I have always advised anyone who cares to listen: time is atleast as important as money when investing.

JB - I've been reading your posts for a while now and have come to the conclusion that you are in fact a disruptor. From a purely pseudointellectual standpoint you make sense but certain phrases expose your lack of perspective with GGP.

Primarily you harp on about the SP being undervalued due to market forces et al - but for nearly all of us LTH's here - what we don't see/feel, we don't care about because it is something we can do nothing about.

In other words - we know and understand the trajectory of this company to the extent that it is now (and will continue to provide) financial security predominently due to the mindset of one man supported by his advisers. SD and his BoD have performed impecably along the way and we see the rewards stacking up as we speak.

So for you to tell us we should be there instead of here on the SP chart, is irrelevant and unproven.

Like several others throughout the last 6 or 7 years who have moaned about the gold price, shorting, ETF's underperforming, being overlooked by the market, it goes on and on and on in extremis; and yet we quietly progress in accordance with the laws of physics (so to speak). The company explores, discovers and produces copious amounts of gold (Hav) and in the meantime buys an existing mine with years of remaining life for next to nothing, making huge profits - enough to pave the way for a FREE mine coming online in 2 years time. It has THE best BoD in Aussie, one of the best brokers, and NO debt.

LTH's are home and dry (short of a natural disaster) and it is only a matter of months before we all reap the benefits from this. For some (TomE to name one), the rewards have already started. NO amount of fearmongering from you or anyone else can ever change this landscape John. Please accept this.

I do like your rhetoric but unfortunately it's designed to be disruptive - but you have missed the boat this time.

The upcoming DFS is a shape shifter for GGP. It will allay marketing unknowns and uncertainties and set the company on the road to untold wealth.

I will add one known unknown though - Wyloo. I still have it on my list as a friendly takeover bid (albeit that option is reducing monthly).

Newmont/Northern Star definition of a Tier 1 mine:

Tier 1 Asset. Defined as +500k/year consolidated. Strong FCF, average AISC/oz in the lower half of the industry cost curve and a mine life >10 years in countries that are classified in the A and B rating ranges for each of Moody’s, S&P and Fitch.

Morph Telfer and Hav, and voila you have a perfect Tier 1 for many years to come (as of 2028/9).

Monty - I agree with your calcs (15p/share), except for one thing. I think it won't be $100m.......more like £100m.

This would have to be based on >500kozAu/yr which is atleast 3 years away. Until then there is still some considerable Capex ongoing.

My prediction for a divi: 5+ years minimum.

Wo3 is not expensive currently and demand is expected to rise around 5 to 8% annually.

Lot of capex for a very mediocre return annually, methinks.

Morning jungleblabber - thanks for your reply. It seems by the lack of response in general that a collapse isn't on many peoples radar.

As much as I push it to the back of my mind, I discover more and more - background chatter from industry that collapse is in fact seeping back into conversation.

I think 'tech' and especially 'AI' leads this concern. The AI bubble in particular is growing exponentially and billions are being thrown at it when no-one really knows how it is going to pan out. It does indeed remind me of the dotcom bubble and subsequent crash in 2000.

GGP is my last foray into 'risky' investment, I am making plans to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Based on current published information, mid 2026 would seem to be a turning point for GGP - a clearer picture of costs and income, a stable Telfer and an emerging Hav. That's what I'll base my exit strategy on.

But for those who see a very bright future for GGP long past this timeline and therefore wish to remain and enjoy the journey - I can't see any issue with that. It should indeed bring strong returns over the years especially when/if dividends are introduced.

I just hope for their sakes the global market remains robust enough to allow them access to those rich returns.

Of course the biggest and the best is here. So I will use this platform to K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) - targeting those of us who are ‘generalist’ observers keen to stay on top of our hard earned investment. [Apologies to those who are more advanced in this process and of course all those LTH’s who have had their finger firmly on the pulse for some time].

Industry average suggests the life of a mine from discovery to production is around 12-15 years.

Havieron: Discovered in 2018 by GGP under the control of Gervaise Heddle. It had £4m in the bank and 20 personnel. It is expected to go live in 2027.

Telfer: Bought outright by GGP in 2024 under the control of Shaun Day. It has approximately £650m in the bank and approximately 430 personnel). It consists of three ’mines’ (West Dome Deeps / Main Dome / East Dome), Telfer is already in production.

ALL of the above in 9 years. Let that sink in for a moment.

Output (late 2025 prices):

Telfer: Approximately 300,000 ozAu and 17,000 tonsCu per year for 2026 and 2027.

Current PoG: £3050/oz. AISC: £1100/oz. Cu: £8000/tonne. Extraction rate Au: 88.6% Cu: 81%.

Havieron (Pre DFS): Approximately 280,000 ozAu. AISC: £650/oz. Cu output currently unknown.

Current activity:

Telfer – 150 miles of drilling currently (ends in late 2026). Diamond (DD) and Reverse Circulation drilling (RCD). [DD costs approx. £200/m and RCD costs approx. £50/m]. Tailings, pit work and renewing equipment. Telfer MRE due in Q1/26. Capex for next two years: £130m.

Havieron – DFS (due in december 2025) costs: £8m. Roads to be built and trucks to be bought. Decline restarts with flood repairs to entrance.

Estimated Capex for next two years: £450m.

Greatland Resources (GGP) is heading for a multi-billion pound, Tier 1 status within 2 years and a life expectancy of 15 – 30 years.

Not bad for a £4m start up in 7 years, eh?
