Agreed. Makes perfect sense. I also think that the sudden share price hype recently could have been intentional to get a placing away. Seems too convenient to me - given the timescale to "actual" production not allowing for any hold-ups.

Whilst a placing is certainly not the end of the world - I just remain cautious about how big it may be, who might be involved, and how the market and traders might react in the short term...

Would be great to hear back from the BOD one way or the other. I'm itching to invest more money... but not until I know the truth!

I seem to remember the same argument last time around with bl**dy Bergen... and oh how long that went on for... all the time allowing everyone and their dog to get in for far less in the meantime.

Happy to keep a stake here, but keeping my real powder dry until we "know" categorically that Bergen or similar aren't going to raise their ugly heads again!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but it seems a strange time to be spouting negatives for a company your invested in, when I think the consensus opinion would be that we've turned a corner "at last" here.

I appreciate many LTH's will be bitter about missed opportunities and a crashed SP in recent years, but at the very least NOW we seem to have more positives than negatives ahead of us...

My instinct when I read negativity "on an upturn" is that folk are either 1) shorting 2) sitting on the sidelines and have missed their re-entry, or 3) simply bitter about their past losses... or a combination of those three?

If you still have a short open, I would look at closing out before next week. There's value in bundles here and "everyone" knows it... in fact everyone always knew it... just RH assisted by MM's naked shorting that took this spiralling down (and delays from the management in execution of drills didn't help at all).

However, time to re-trace upward now... all we need is another positive signal from the BOD and the climb will accelerate!

Placings are planned "well" in advance. Therefore - there is IMHO a very real prospect of a placing here prior to news flow.

Given the time it has taken UKOG to test and flow... ANGS still have several weeks, possibly months before results will be reported and production is set up (not allowing for well issues).

Having already endured one bite of Bergen here... I don't relish the prospect of yet another slow sell off, so I have sold 50% of my holding today and will save that money to add again once the placing rumour is either corroborated or dispelled.

Oh well.. take the SP to 20p and you should at least be closing in on a "realistic" valuation of current assets - still not allowing for future potential though...

SP should slowly recover from here as everything falls into place. Underlying value here is considerable.

The MM's have finally decided to close their naked short. Touched 10p this am... no coincidence that RH is out at last?

So I guess this means we can resume normal market principles based upon TRUE valuation of assets again... wonders will never cease!

Speaking as someone with past industry experience (retired now) I have personally witnessed many of those practices happen across a variety of shares... over many years... and from both sides of the table.

I don't know where your expertise comes from... or where your loyalty lies... but it "genuinely" surprises me that you are so certain of your viewpoint and so eager to dismiss such practices as fake.

Please stop being so condescending. I agree with "a lot" of what you say... but your tin-foil quip is wearing a bit thin!

Report ONLY the sells and keep the buys hidden to artificially drop the SP. A slow hand clap to the MM's. Do they think we're all stupid... doh?

I agree with you that the MM's know where to go for shares... there are plenty out there "at a price" after all... but why pay more for them when they have a ready market of weary & nervous PI's to plunder from on the cheap instead?

Maybe I'm just too cynical... or maybe I've just wised up to those city vampires over time...

Don't give in to the MM's war of attrition (share gathering in the background) "just yet" my friend as you will live to regret it IMHO!

It's usually at the point where most PI's are dropping like dead flies and selling out of sheer frustration that the SP starts to move violently in the opposite direction... seen it so many times on AIM.

I think RH is shorting as well as selling & the MM's are probably naked shorting the SP too. Both have destroyed sentiment here and many folk are probably sitting on the sidelines waiting for update news to give the SP some momentum. Can't see traders having any joy here currently... hence low volume.

Many AIM shares finding themselves in the doldrums usually fall out of favour due to the additional spectre of placements. Yet here we have "significant" cash in the bank and imminent news in the pipeline... At current market cap, the only serious threat to my investment here is a possible low bid take-over... and even then, we stand to make substantial profit!!!!!!

If the blatant manipulation of the SP carries on here much longer, we are in serious danger of having more cash in the bank than Market Cap!

Maybe the MM's will wake up before then... but who knows?

Oh well... like others here, I'm carrying on buying... and happy to wait for payday!

Take it up another gear and you have shorters and MM's (naked shorting) which are often "enabled" by a negative slanted story to encourage uncertainty in the market. This is very often backed up by trolls who infest boards just like this one to add further weight to the narrative.

The end result? The SP dips and PI's are encouraged to sell out. Ring any bells?

Years ago - as a newbie myself - I was partly tempted to invest too early and also encouraged to sell out too soon by the posters on sites just like this one. Whilst comments here might not sway the battle hardened cynics amongst us... it will and does influence new investors and hence that inevitably affects the SP which relies on new investors.

The regular trolls and traders know only too well that a carefully orchestrated "story" can influence the daily trading patterns of shares in AIM which are mostly held by PI's. They are not here on a 24hr basis for want of anything better to do... they are here to make money!

Whilst I am not saying they can "control" a share... they can very often create and burst bubbles to trade with - and therein make their money.

Anyone think the MM's are naked shorting this? They have a very recent history of naked shorting AIM oilers / miners. Can't see why else the SP is still falling?
