Pearls, thinking that is proven over decades to be right becomes as you put it " conventional thinking" others might call it best practice or other such terms.
The majority of the people passing comments on here have some investment in THG and we nearly all think THG would be better with a different CEO and we are rightly nervous of the forthcoming results based on what's gone before. I think anyone buying between now and the results is doing nothing other than taking a punt rather than making an educated investment decision.

As for the share price, MM is far more interested in remaining in control than he is in the share price because he already has more than enough money. Control or more specifically the power that comes with control is the driver for him.
If the share price drops it makes its easier for him to take it private and if the active shareholders somehow force through beneficial changes whilst he remains in control then its a win/win for him.
I doubt that anyone on the board will attempt to force him out and I equally doubt there is currently a large enough appetite amongst the shareholders to force him out when and if his golden share expires.

FWIW I tend to agree with Kando sentiments especially the results mattering. To say otherwise is from my viewpoint is bonkers. By nature I am an optimistic person but I have invested in and worked alongside mini MMs and their behaviour does not change and this tempers my THG optimism.
Right now I am hoping for the best news and results but expecting a lot less, time will tell. One thing is sure there's money to be made in the movement of the shares. Onward and upwards to one and all.

I think it will retest the inter day lows before it consolidates, there's nothing to be positive about right now and its difficult to see in an overcrowded market why you would select NCC

Salmon are an endangered species, both in the UK and elsewhere with catch returns at all time lows (farmed salmon are not real salmon, they are fat, pellet fed, environment destroying muck) mackerel are also slowly being fished out so maybe we need to find a different classification :-)

Being the centre or hub of any sector is great business so channeling another beauty business through Ingenuity is a very positive move. Obviously the profit is key factor but never forget the business intelligence that comes with such a deal. That's how Amazon grew so fast, it tracked and no doubt still does track and analyse all sales data and in particular "partner" data.

MM clearly has talent, drive and ambition but running a quoted business is something he has proven beyond reasonable doubt to be awful at. That's why to me it's critical the GS goes and the sooner it goes the sooner we will start to see SP accurately reflect the potential the business has

Given what you said Tom (and I don't disagree with control statement) what do mean by him "winning" and how is his win achieved ? because from where I stand his days of having total control are going to come to and end sometime this year.

Lets hope he is a better mover than Theresa ;-)

MM has lots of positive attributes, unfortunately his communications style leans towards lecturing which is a shame. And maybe today he has a tad more humility than he previously had but in the initial period after the IPO he was anything but humble.

FWIW I am happy to acknowledge I didn't pay enough attention but in my defense it was early and was still half asleep ??

That's never a good sign after such a short term in office. My gut feel is the results in April will be disappointing and he be seen to be "carrying the can" for the disappointment.

I'm happy with the direction but would prefer the rise to a tad slower, lasting for months rather than days and weeks. The recent rapid rise signaled heavily overbought on all 4 of the criteria I use to track momentum and if I had taken my own advice I could have sold at 71/72 and bought back in again at sub 60 and that's all in less than a month.

At 60p and below I will always keep adding, this might become my biggest holding as a percentage of my portfolio.

Ok, maybe it is but then again maybe it isn't. All our views are subjective and my subjective view ( combined with a lot of a experience) is that certainty or the expectation of certainty builds confidence, ditto aligning with best practise. Leaving everyone guessing erodes the already brittle confidence IN THG shares and is not anyone's idea of best practise.

Whilst the date remain unknown, the opportunity for profitable shorting increases. This is compounded by the fact historically its normally mid April and here we are, less than 3 weeks away from mid April and nothing, absolute silence. Its a very poor start to Damian Sanders term of office and once again highlights MM's complete disregard for investor relationships.
My personal view is, he is not the right person to head up any listed business and the only saving grace for is that to retain a modicum of investor respect he must finally relinquish his golden share and secondly, the active investors won't put up with his **** poor attitude to investor relationships for too long.

SBB is correct, the charts are starting to firm up on the positive side, that won't stop the P&D merchants doing their thing as they trade on movement but the trend is moving in the right direction. Onwards and upwards is the way it appears to be going.
