The long and short of it is, it's up to the owner and given he has no obligation to pay you a dividend I think you can take an educated guess as to whether he will or won't

All you holders and potential buyers should take notice of "TheTrotsky" posts. His advice is extremely well reasoned and he could save you money and a lot of pain. Shares never ever fall this far and this fast without good reason and he has gone to great lengths to highlight the reasons.

Having seen the SP collapse I have looked in to this as an opportunity and decided, thanks but no thanks. Way too much risk and potentially zero protection once it goes private.

I have been a "chartist" for many decades, obviously it's not foolproof but it help me to time entry & exit points during normal trading periods but there's nothing normal about the THG shares right now so my THG charts are not being actively referenced.

A hunch based all I know today £2.05, please note I reserve the right to change the value depending on the weather ;-)

I am not short on THG and never have been and I understand MMs frustration but and this is to me the critical factor. Moulding in the run up to the IPO and soon after sought publicity without giving any thought to cost of "dancing" with the devil.
This is a media hungry world and the UK press have always built people with a view to knocking them back down. He knows this and yet his ego and vanity got the better of his judgement and then he handed the press the "hammer" on a plate by delivering one profit warning after another followed by dreadful results. Anyone doing this would get a bad press.
Ditto anyone preaching humility whilst not acknowledging and apologising for the losses the the IPO buyers have incurred, the list of his failinds is long so I won't add to the list.
Moulding has done very well for himself whilst others have lost a lot of money backing him and his constant moaning I find is pathetic.
I am invested in THG because Mouldings behaviour and communication has created a large gap between the SP of the sum of the parts, not because I think Moulding is a great CEO.

No wish to get into an argument but I thought it was ok, given Moulding was at times quoting things the FT correspondence said it was bound to a tad critical/defensive and one of the reader comments was very telling.

Guys I don't entirely disagree with anything you have said my only point is I don't think MM is as saintly as you might like him to be. His time with John Caldwell at Phones4U will have rubbed off and John gave everyone with 10 or more years service a good payoff at a gala dinner to celebrate the sale of Phones4U but in the final analysis John looked after number 1 and was at times ruthless and bloody minded in getting what he wanted. As always I am hoping for the best shareholder outcome but expecting something less.

Totally agree this going private ( I have always thought that and said as much) , it's just a question of when, what format and last but not least the price.
Given it benefits Apollo & MM for the price to as low as they can get away with I don't expect to get rich on this exit. Right now I am thinking below £1.50 but that could change quickly if other parties see a profit in fighting Apollo and MM.

If you look back at previous posts you will see I stated on more than one occasion that the forecast for Ingenuity development costs were nonsense. I spoke then and still do with a good understanding of these type projects. The numbers no matter how you view them don't make sense unless their purpose is as Oke hints, to keep the share price lower than it should if realistic numbers were used.
THG, the performance of it's shares, the behaviour of the CEO and it's communications are all in a class of their own.

The other key criteria the Apollo data gathers will want to know is all about the software THG have generated or modified. On both occasions we have sold, the buyers conducted due diligence on the source code we created and any 3rd party software we modified . The due diligence was forensic to the nth degree. The buyer in the larger transaction appointed a specialist San Francisco outfit and everyone in our development and product management had to hand their laptops and company phones in to be scanned and sign a declaration stating that we had no knowledge of any wrong doing, illegal use of 3rd party code, etc etc. This won't come into play until such time as there is a heads of agreement in place.
Whether Apollo would go to such lengths for an MBO is something I can't answer but if they are taking control it probably will.

Mr Humility with uber expensive watch. I have no personal feeling for or against MM but I sincerely wish he could be removed for the benefit of all of us. I suspect he will cling on until he has either engineered an a beneficial (to him) MBO or he been bought out.

I agree that's the protocol but in reality it doesn't often work like that, well not in my experience and its very difficult to see in the case of any founder run business that the founder does not decide who is on the board.

In this current phase I cannot see any boardroom coup. Anyone who has been a board member of a Plc knows full well you are chosen because your views align with either the chairman and/or the CEO and typically its the CEO who has the final say on whose appointed. The board will be loyal to MM and he will do everything in his power to retain control.

For all of my doubts about MM's management style it would be remiss of me not to acknowledge the huge contribution he has made to the north west by creating so many jobs in a relatively short space of time, the Kelso response to his LinkedIn post summed it very well.
