The battle with Barclays was won. They capitulated when I played my trump card (not the Trump cad) and revealed that I know someone who knows someone who works as a barge horse (when not resting in the field behind Mr Patel's shop) and who knows someone who knows Lord Palmerston.

Yes, after years and years of anonymous camaraderie on here, it will be great to actually meet others. You know how you always have a mental image of someone which then proves to be quite, quite wrong. Like I suppose most of you will be surprised to see that, in reality, I am tall, handsome, muscular, a pure adonis of athletic and debonair perfection.

Looks as though we must be shedding the Get Rich Quick brigade.

Good luck to you too, Mr Big. This is one of the very best things about SGZ, the civilised and friendly nature of this BB, in stark contrast to the deeply unpleasant dens of vindictiveness one has encountered elsewhere. I hope we see you back amongst our motley crew in the future.

My personal preference is to keep out of the way of "the herd", Stretchum. They were here, if you remember, about a couple of months ago. When the price went up and down like a scary ride at a theme park. As always happens when the day traders have their fun.
It's a very mixed blessing, in my humble opinion. OK, it draws attention to a stock. But I always fear that volatile trading like that undermines credibility in the eyes of potential serious long-term investors.

BTW, the 9,514 buy was also me, using up a bit of cash that was also in my ISA.

I see LSE is showing the Bed & ISA I've just done as two sales. Making it appear that someone's just dumped 200,000 shares. Same as they did last week when I did a Bed & ISA on my remaining non-ISA SGZ holding.

Well done, Mrs Bellers. The buy of 527 at 15:23:45 was me, also topping up my ISA. Having done a Bed & ISA on all my remaining non-ISA shares at lunchtime, I then thought, Oh, go on, round the holding up with that extra 500. Instead of which my available funds bought 527. Damn! My nice neat and tidy portfolio is lopsided again. Anyone want 27 shares, LOL?

I just logged in to my Barclays account. And - guess what? - my 2017 Options have - at long, long last! - been absorbed into my holding!
Wow! A mere eight months after I'd paid for them!
I have now Bedded and Isa'd the whole lot.
After things get back to something like normal I shall then be seeking a new broker service and bid farewell to Barclays. My own bank , as part of HBOS, is one possibility. Another I've had a look at is Redmayne Bentley. On the surface (ie their website) they would appear to offer a more traditional, personalised service, even to 'online dealing only' customers. They have an office in Glasgow, so I thought that, post-lockdown, I might even go to see them. Do any of you have any positive or negative comments to make about HBOS and/or Redmayne Bentley?
Drinks, at some point in the future, will be on me at the Tyndrum Inn. Or at least they would be except the Inn is not dog-friendly, which is extraordinary for an accommodation provider in the Highlands. So we'd probably have to sleep on one of the Luxury Barges offered by the Canonbie Tourist Hub.

I bought here some time ago because I thought it was going to be a useful long-term investment.
Rubbish! Every day proves conclusively to me that this share is nothing more than a day-traders' plaything.
