It could have been handled better yes, within the rules.

She should have stated current cash position with survival options (FSP being one of them) instead of letting the market think that Eve is on the death bed - either a buyer is found or going bust.

Wyn, I don’t think it can get any worse. Last year the TU was mid July, not much can change by then. I think we passed the point of expecting sales alone (at this stage with the cost of living crisis) to save us.

That is why I think is important to clarify the cash position and options for way forward, FSP is one of the ways.

Geeman, CC really needs to issue a proper TU with survival options now, FSP or no FSP. If she doesn’t the SP will fall to below 0.1p, IMO. It will slowly bleed down to that level as the market fear of the worse strengthens.

She is completely unsuitable for CEO, in fact she is a very bad one at that - decimated the share price by the way she interacted with the market. Even by the way the FSP process was announced.

The SP jumped to circa 10p on the back of CBD then came way down because she downplayed it and put caveats on a couple of occasions. Now, in the FSP RNS there is a sense of trying to play up the significance of it. Not to include a decent update with the cash position in the last RNS a huge mistake.

Now the SP is at 0.7p !!!! Never thought I see that.

Cannot imagine how frustrated she would be if her stake was down by £50k - do you think that we would have a TU then?

CC has to give a treating update - now. FSP or no FSP she can do this.

Geeman, thanks for posting the reply. The speed of response is impressive but there are updates they can tell the market (RNS, not individual response) that do not affect the FSP. Cash position and survival options in case of no offer for example I do not think they affect the FSP. Sales improving also.

They really need to clarify Eve’s financial health and survival options sooner than later, before the share price is obliterated.

DGU, since you have a line to CC, would you consider telling her that her last RNS spooked the markets, gave the impression of is either a company sale or going bust. Hence the share price getting decimated?

She should clarify the cash position and indicate to the market what the alternatives are if FSP fails. I assume there will be alternatives. She needs to do that immediately before the share price is fully obliterated. Getting the share price higher will also be good for FSP, will cause a higher offer.

I am actually disappointed that CC did not put up a forward plan other than saying that Eve is going up for sale. This left the market fearing the worse, bl**dy inexcusable. She should say something immediately, clarify the cash position and indicate what the alternatives are. Slowing the cash burn? …

I fully agree with you. What possible reason that somebody that claims to have sold at 1p (several days ago) have to make him/her post this today? Rub it in to those of us that are under?

Krull, if I may say so, you got it all wrong. What brings shareholder value is the SP - buying in at say 1p and the SP is now 4p.

The market cap can go up whilst the SP is going down.

For example, let’s just say (hypothetically) the EOG SP is 2p with 1 billion shares in issue, gives you an MCap of £10 mil. Say next year, the SP is 0.5p but there are 6 billion shares in issue. Gives you an MCap of £30 mil.

So, in the above hypothetical example:
2.0p … MCap £10 mil
0.5p … MCap £30 mil

It is frustrating isn’t it? I get a quote to buy 1 mil shares at 2.27p … ridiculous! The SP would have been much higher without the (heavily discounted) placing.

Anyway, Serenity prospects are good, but makes no sense for the SP to be stuck at this level with the drill about 2/3 months away. I recently added at 2.4p/2.5p thinking that that was it … onwards and upwards from there … but got that wrong. Surely must be time to move up now?

Before the last placing, EOG SP was higher than EDR !!
