I think that a performance in Q4 above £720m profit will show very strong but sustainable growth and the market should value that between now and the full year results update.

Largely it doesn't matter to me as the story will drive the next few years.

The growth at easyJet is way ahead of those perceived to be similar. This will become very clear this year

Irritating wait for the Q4 update which based on the last 3 years was most likely to be released on Friday last or today.

This week looks very likely for the update.

It's going to be good but hopefully it's great. £720-740m profit is my hope.

I think those investors are few now. There are people who move their money around to grab multiple dividends across the year.

This is the problem with visibility over the dates. Carpetbaggers.

I would rather they spent the excess with a meaningful share purchase campaign.

They also have substantial aircraft acquisition plans that could be usefully part financed from profit.

My problem with the dividend is that it doesn't just reward the long term supporter.

Realistic as a 12 month target.

I suspect we'll see a gap up Monday morning at around 520p on strong Q4 performance.

Just my opinion. I have mine already and won't be selling any the next few years whilst easyJet maintain a strong commercial growth cycle

I don't run an airline. I don't flog hotel rooms. I have a strategic role in the hospitality business. It's very closely linked to the airline business. I use a lot of data from airlines for price setting and capacity.

I can see the easyJet are well ahead and I can see how capacity that we place with easyjet is filled.

There's a small chance of the Q4 update tomorrow morning. Prime time is Friday and Monday.

It's a stretch calling ryanair we'll run. The have a one dimension business model. They have no depth, no plan B and no choice seemingly than playing around with the price. If times look lean, they cut the price....now needing even more people onboard. Rather than wetting their pants they should maintain the price as reasonable and require less bums on seats.

Easyjet saw the opportunity for a holiday business that they were uniquely placed to take. In the same time that Easyjet were launching and building a massive holiday business ryanair were in dispute with OTAs weakening their position.

Well run....not.

It's quite wrong to value easyJet with Ryanair, wizz and others. Easyjet are not just an airline and not just a holiday business. They are a hybrid and are in the best of positions.

There needs to be a clear break from what the market considers to be competition.

Only easyjet has capacity to grow profit many times over without massive

investment.

The numbers are clear. Easyjet make 25% of their profit from 5% of their seats. They can easily make 20% of their seats as holiday customers without impacting the situation at the airline.

The problem in my opinion is London. There are very few investors and the only business is gamblers. Access to markets is easier than ever and most trades are very small.

Easyjet needs access to a wider audience given that they are highly visible across Europe.

We'll wait and see but in a quarterly update they should be disclosing a range for the profit and the underlying metrics.

I would be surprised if they offer the market any guidance especially when it comes to things that are on global news.

These things normally come with projections and the quarterly update is backwards looking.

They may but previous good performance has been met with a clearly organised campaign and the price has dropped.

This will be a very strong quarter update but will be light on detail so we'll be waiting on the full year report

I don't give a damn about the geopolitical climate. The Q4 results tell us about how far ahead of the others easyjet are. They will confirm that Easyjet are in substantial growth. This is highly relevant to the next 3 years whilst they transition to a £1bn a year profit business.

I am certainly not selling any no matter where the price goes so I don't care what happens. I just care that they deliver around £720m profit in Q4.

The world for easyJet is very stable. Largely people use travel and holidays as a way to escape the misery of the UK and northern europe. That isn't going to change and most people don't care what's going on as long as it's not in their neighborhood.

Just a few more days until we hear about record breaking Q4 profit.

Southern Europe remains in summer weather with Mijas Costa and Algarve still very busy. It was 34° yesterday in Marbella and the beaches packed.

Q1 has got off to a flying start.

I have several Vueling and easyJet flights in the next few weeks and looking at the seat planner they are quite full already.

Taverham that's a poorly informed opinion. Israel controls very little in the region because in the region they stand alone. They have very little influence beyond their borders because universally they are shunned in the region. In the Arab world they have no influence. If they did they wouldn't need to resort to murder.

The problem starts once the world starts deciding who are terrorists and who are not. I see no difference if it's a government or a across borders organisation.

As soon as they become "terrorists" all lines of communication are closed. This is evidenced many times over globally.

Unfortunately Israel has repeatedly made the same mistake as the USA and others have made globally. They have created several more generations of freedom fighters that are motivated to destroy Israel. Israel murdering parents, children and siblings is a strong recruitment tool for freedom fighting groups. This time I feel that they have exceeded their previous efforts and unfortunately we'll see extreme people filled with Jewish hatred exercising their hatred. Especially in the US where guns are as common as bicycles and around the same price.

Ultimately without Israel and their expansion campaign the middle east would be a calm place.

I don't call them terrorists just because governments that don't represent me do. They are doing exactly what generations globally have done when they are denied a voice. You can't shut them up by murdering them, bombing them or invading them. This is US policy acted out in Israel and it's failed every time they have done it.

I don't hate Israel but I do hate what they are doing. I hate the way the west pumps the murder with weapons for profit.

Stumpy I don't think that I could be bothered with it. So how many times doesn't it work out and you take a loss.

I have about 105k shares now and what do I do sell 20k and wish the 85k down.

I will make money by doing nothing.

I don't understand the exiting and re-entering. I guess that you must be short of funds. A couple of percent here or there. I don't get the point

The chart is irrelevant. This is driven totally by events in Israel and the perception of the fear of others as nobody is actually fearful themselves. Ultimately everyone knows the share price will be back up in due course.

News from Israel will determine what happens even though it makes no difference to the easyJet performance and profitability. Nobody will change their plans and life will carry on as normal everywhere else.

In less than 2 weeks easyjet will disclose their best summer profit ever. The facts around easyJet are worth focusing on the wider nonsense just provides an opportunity for cheap shares. How cheap I don't know but I will be buying more.
