Why don't they come out with a positive statement. Because it would be ridiculous and unprofessional.

It would imply every day that they don't make a statement is a commercially poor day, it creates an expectation and he would be guessing.

Also a very good reason is the negotiation with various unions including the british pilots.

Share price makes no sense at this level. It should be well above £6.

EasyJet will have strong passenger growth. The holiday business is booming across Southern Europe really everywhere apart from Greece. Italy made a slow start but caught up.

Ryanair has one tool, price cutting. They offer nothing else and are universally despised. People only fly them if they have no choice. Easyjet is challenging that now with more catchment through expansion at regionals with large population density. Birmingham, Bristol and Alicante amongst others.

Easyjet are also eating into the DIY holiday business with their package business.

Easyjet has a massive commercial opportunity.

The holiday business is for nothing in this share price. The growth curve for the holiday business is very sporty but will become extreme given the high take up of hotels and massive winter holidays opportunity. It's very possible that this winter holiday volume could exceed last summer.

We now have 8 hotels in the Málaga catchment bidding on the easyJet platform and 4 more in Portugal starting in January. 4 in Malta.

This year is a record for our business in 25 years of trading. Highest occupancy rate by more than 4% and highest value per bed by around 8%.

The occupancy rate increase is all down to easyjet.

Easyjet are into the last part of the bumper summer campaign now. Prices on last minute travel look strong with very limited availability across the south to north routes. I am expecting a steady rise towards the autumn and results . The market plays out in many ways only very loosely connected to reality

Plenty of information already available and the only factor to change that information is widespread disruption and cancellations. So far almost nothing. The strikes in Portugal were worked around and ATC problems often bleated about by O'Leary seem to be just the same old stuff.

A major weekend done with minor delays as normal and we are well over half way through Q4. September weeks 3-4 is the least productive so the bulk of the remaining big money flights are in the next few weeks.

Of course the market is not interested in business as normal but for me it underwrites the annual performance.

The guidance is given accepting that an average amount of loss is also accounted. This year the loss days will be minimal or non existent Q4 if this keeps up.

This is last years TU for Q4. It stopped the decline from 440p to 360p and triggered the start of the rise to 570p.

The market should be much more confident this year. Certainly 650p wouldn't look to high in my opinion given the commercial opportunity and success of the holiday business.

Ryanair are heavily committed to Stansted. Southend eats into the ryanair catchment for Stansted. Southend is no Birmingham but it's a good place for 3 or 4 aircraft especially on the expat routes.

I believe that given any choice most people would fly easyJet over ryanair even at a slightly higher price.

I was on ryanair today into Sevilla and there were 11 or 12 empty. That's the busiest that I have seen that flight and I have been using it since covid lifted. Often it's half full. My ticket was 198€ in row 1 with no luggage.

Really what conflicts are they. Nothing happening in Ukraine Russia or Gaza is bothering Easyjet.

The crazy thing is that the holiday business is new. Established in the covid era but only gaining traction since. As the holiday business has grown from nothing to project £180m profit this year the share price has not responded to that growth.

The airline can stay flat and we can have the growth in the holiday sector.

I rather suspect that the holiday business will profit between £185-190 this year.

Starting Q1 we'll see a massive expansion for winter holidays. Focusing on genuine winter sun destinations.

Easyjet holidays are also changing the winter break landscape by focusing on holiday destinations for quick breaks rather than cities where many report fear of crime and high prices.

Beo. There's something very special going on at easyjet that makes it a very rare case.

They are expanding rapidly into a new business where they have a unique situation. Easyjet are uniquely placed with their holidays product. They have almost limitless capacity to grow into without compromise to their existing business model.

This means that you do need to look at past performance to see the growth curve.

As long as Hotels have rooms then easyjet holidays will get customers for their product. No investment and no risk in this model. They can put out as many holidays as they want at no risk and see who bites.

This situation is unique because if there's a downturn in demand it will be the Hotels pitching lower prices not easyJet or easyJet holidays. The bulk of the cost beyond a 4 day trip is the accommodation.

You have to look at the growth curve and project forwards.

Fundamentally this is where the market has it wrong.

I see no reason why easyjet holidays won't exceed the airline profit at between 12 and 15% of seats on packages.

50% profit from 12% of the seats allows for huge flexibility.

A unique and misunderstood situation

Look through the results often we have seen a negative response to good results.

The classic was the H1 results where they hit exactly the middle of the guidance range. A organised attack on the share price before opening destroyed the price.

It's very easy for a small amount of money to have a disproportionate impact especially in a share with poor liquidity.

What has destroyed value is the short term mentality and lack of confidence in the money markets. This has been created or at least supported by successive poor government in the UK. As successive clowns entered the arena with their new tricks and jokes peoples attention span reduced to headlines and soundbites.

We are in an instant world and simply people don't want to wait. This is sometimes because people are not investing they are gambling and often with money that they can't afford to lose.

There are also many algorithms at play. They take any tiny profit resulting in the stunting or termination of any upward pressure.
