The reality is that Easyjet are and will continue to outperform the sector because their growth is not coming from the airline but from a unique business.

Easyjet holidays are unique because of the partner relationships, primarily with hoteliers but also with other providers.

Flight only providers will be flat as quite possibly easyJet would be without the holiday business and the airline business created by the additional holiday business.

It's the key differential with increasing profit 10 X the airline per seat on a greater volume of seats. It will transform winter earnings when volume is lower.

The market may lump airlines together but they are wrong.

Fuel prices all the major airports across Europe are dropping in response to sub $80 crude prices. Good news for easyJet with around 30% unhedged.

I think that we'll see a big step up next year, starting with a very extensive winter schedule. £250m profit next year is likely.

However it maybe in the interest of easyJet to spin the holiday business off on a European listing. £250m profit is a fair point to achieve significant value. Certainly currently it's for zero in the share price.

It was purely a commercial decision I am sure but it was I fear misinterpreted by some as disapproval of the murder and aggression. I am sure that easyJet don't have a view either way except that this situation isn't solved anytime soon so best to stay away.

Unfortunately it is fact that institutions have agendas be it political religious or otherwise. They act according to their agenda.

Ridiculous share price. I don't know what easyjet has to do. Another day of summer another £9m profit minimal disruption over the weekend. Birdstrike and a couple of delays. Standard stuff.

I am in no hurry. If it continues down I will take more.

It's looking like a good decision to stay away from Israel. Lots of Jewish influence in the LSE in fact they are the financial mafia. I suspect that they didn't like easyjet staying away.

I would love to agree but reality is the since the easyJet results were announced ryanair has done better than easyJet . I guess the logic is that O'Leary is lying again and this is to attract traffic to their website.

Easyjet has the LSE anchor around it's neck and won't achieve anything like proper value until they list elsewhere

I largely agree with this opinion. Much is supported by fact and is playing out as I expected. It's bizarre after last week why Ryanair has support and easyJet has only modest support. I suspect it's because Easyjet has a UK listing and many won't touch anything London. Certainly for me this is my only UK exposure, everything else is in Europe.

Easyjet are separating from ryanair and wizz in business model and that's the difference. Easyjet are more convenient and people will pay for that. Easyjet holidays will be a big winner. I think that it will take 3 years for the holiday business to be more profitable than the airline but it will certainly happen.

Easyjet will add around 400 hotels for next summer and over winter they will take a lot of the winter sun North Africa business. They have added many hotels in the region and on these routes around 30% will be holidays seats at much higher margins.

It's going to be a strong summer, we are well in now and disruption has been minimal. People are well over the Israel situation and Ukraine. Oil is well in range.

Q1 I think will be strong with loses down to around £60m .

Easyjet are diverting lots of ryanair customers through the new base at Birmingham. I have rellies using easyJet Birmingham this year instead of Ryan Luton. They live near Bletchley and are going to Birmingham by train rather than driving to Luton and parking.

The Birmingham catchment is huge and this is prime hunting ground for easyJet holidays.

I think that it comes down to trust and timing. Easyjet holidays opened before covid then sat dormant but networking

Easyjet completely reinvented the package from the hotelier side. They looked at the hotelier stress points and addressed them.

Occupancy 95%+ through the summer is very possible. Easyjet has zero unoccupied loss, no blocked rooms. The hotelier can take what they want from easyJet holidays. No waiting for payment.

This takes trust and time to establish.

Ryanair can't start a holiday business.

Ryanair business model was fine but now growth requires significant investment. Easyjet growth is just a matter of adding value to what they have already.

Most airlines who own some or all of their aircraft has debt. Debt is an accounting practice. Even future lease payments are debt.

Like profit it's not a straightforward thing. Last year easyjet realised more cash surplus than the profit minus dividends.

I guess that the important detail is easyJet has a healthy financial present.

Scotty I agree completely. Ryanair results a disaster, outlook bleak, easyJet string results and strong outlook. Ryanair up 2% easyJet up 0.5%.

O'Leary has reversed ryanair into a dead end and he wants to believe that everyone is there with him. To me he looks like the real deal loser and easyJet the winner because they diversified their business model.

There's always something. Easyjet are in good shape. The share price is in no way connected to the commercial opportunity.

Yes we are where we are but the holiday business was just starting really as a concept into COVID. Now the holiday business is an asset flagged to generate £180m profit this year. This business could very quickly be huge without the need for more aircraft, easily it will double the profits in 2 years with many new hotels coming online winter 25 and beyond.

So whilst the shares in issue greatly increased so did the assets and the profits.

Easyjet like Ryan would be very exposed now without the holiday business. Ryanair has nothing to offer but discounts, they are just unnecessarily giving away their future.

Absolutely they fundamentally don't understand the business. The holiday business can easily equal the airline business when it reaches 12% of seats. Last year it was 4%. This year it will be less than 6%. At 12% it equals the profit on the airline to the holiday business. The dynamic is completely different for Ryanair who work in one dimension and only have price as a means to stimulate their market.

Easyjet are a hybrid and as such have much more depth. This substantially reduces the risk. As illustrated today. The airline is almost flat but the group profit is up. This is the difference.

Easyjet can take the holiday business to 15-20% of seats with the concentration on North South routes.

This is how they will break £1bn profit
