Correct it's a total. Also there can't be buys without sells and vice versa . It seems convenient when it's a round number in value and suggests one trade but it's just a indication of value and not precisely correct.

Ultimately trades will remain unfilled and the price is set by the majority. If there's more sells than buys the price will be below mid and if there's more buys above.

If there's been £2m worth traded during the day and in auction a £6m sell the movement would be radical but here we are just +/-2% generally

The 4.30-4.35 period is the call period. The uncrossing period is random and that's when the trades execute.

This is why often it appears that the trade hasn't been executed at the end of the call period when actually it likely has already just not revealed yet.

Also it must be understood that auction trades can happen after the auction is closed if the price and criteria are met. This has happened to me before, when I open my account the next morning I find a trade from the night before that wasn't there.

Once the call period finishes, the auction then enters a random 30 second uncrossing period before uncrossing.

The period before uncrossing is random because it ensures that only orders that are willing to be executed are on the book at this point.

If the uncrossing time was known, then everyone would either place their orders or withdraw their orders as late as possible in an attempt to game the system. The randomness ensures that nobody gets an unfair advantage.

I think that you'll find that all the trades happen in a random 30 second period within that time. It's done that was to stop participants abusing the auction process

I absolutely agree that on the commercial opportunity and current performance it should be £7. However it's not going to jump to £7 this is a matter of establishing a strong up trend then investors will gain confidence.

This is a single event risk and any single event can destroy the opportunity. A strike, a technical failure, external events, conflicts and pandemic. We have seen them all and they hang over the share price as and immediate risk. This makes people nervous. It doesn't even have to be a real risk to easyJet.

Easyjet mitigate risk well but the sector is full of it. We'll see a strong commercial performance assuming they get through this quarter without massive disruption.

No overhang is created because they are matched. Just the price has some significance. If it's below the last live price then it shows the seller is happy to take less and a buyer wasn't happy to pay market price.

Obviously a buyer can then go on to be a seller and vice versa.

The amount of the trade is a single figure representing all the trades within the 30 second period.

Often the UT are foreign investors resident outside the UK and republic of Ireland who can't access the market directly. This is more the case on the micro markets like

AIM.

The fact that the UT price is below the market price at close indicating in red simply means that in the 30 second random period there were more sells orders offered than buy orders. They uncross at the majority price in the auction However there has to be a buyer or they can't trade.

No reason coming from this commercial performance for anyone to unload shares.

This business is strong, we can expect a dividend around 2.5 higher than the last. The business is cash positive and performing at historically high levels. They have substantial opportunities for gaining market share and have realistic targets.

Easyjet holidays margins are not thin. Each holiday makes 10x the flight margin. It's easy to see the leverage.

The holiday business is looking now at city breaks and winter specific destinations. It's very easy for the holiday business to make a substantial winter profit and a massive summer profit. They have massive headroom with 96% of the airline capacity available to them for expansion.

Next year the bidding process changes and the hotelier can be much more flexible with the easyJet bookings.

There's no allocation, the hotelier works through the easyJet website and secure clients by pricing up on demand with an algorithm.

This allows us to work around our current volume and achieve near 100% capacity. Over 85% is seen as very strong. Our average easyJet stay is 8 days.

Ryanair are also under threat from easyJet holidays that are converting many DIY holiday makers to package holidays. Easyjet are also exceeding previous highs this year and growth from the holiday business will drive profitably. £170m this year and £250m next.

Easyjet holidays are dominating the growth opportunity especially from DIY holiday people. Ryanair will be the big losers here. Easyjet need to cover as many regionals as possible and push the easyjet Germany holiday business.

All that's missing here is the reassurance that come April next year the pilots will be on an agreed new wage.

I was at MIA this morning and it was heaving as the early start UK flights arrived. The Islands have never been so busy, every other car a QZ plate denoting a hire car from the airport.

Still nothing from the pilots decision although looking at the new laws from last year that received royal support this year there's limitations as to what the pilots can do. It's just for the transport sector and really makes it difficult for the pilots to hold the company to ransom.

It looks like the vote will be next week now.

Southend will always be limited by geography. The sea in one direction and Stansted in another..

Luton has a huge catchment and can certainly be increased but ryanair are dominant at Luton so easyJet needs to be careful about where they step. Ryanair sell Luton seats cheaply to shut easyjet out of their home town.

Southend offers a viable alternative to Ryanair that dominates Stansted. It eats into the ryanair Stansted catchment and together with Luton and Gatwick creates alternatives across the home counties. Ryanair has a massive Stansted hub . Easyjet are growing in a balanced and sustainable way building small hubs at regionals. Ultimately the departure airport is top of the list when it comes to booking with many not open to traveling further for an alternative.

Eurocontrol say 2025 will hit pre covid levels however in the case of the UK which is experiencing strong demand this summer will be very close.

When comparing Ryanair and easyJet performance you have to understand that the business is very different.

easyJet has embarked on a holiday business that ryanair can't replicate. This take the DIY holiday business away from ryanair. It will be the major growth opportunity over the next 5 years and as far as profit goes could exceed the airline business. At what point they list it separately or spin it off remains to be seen

The 16 planes this year, most are to service the new bases or expansion at existing bases. Birmingham, Bristol and Alicante. This isn't a partial increase in capacity but a total increase from zero. It's also important to understand that these new bases are out performing the established bases massively.

In Birmingham they have seen massive demand and the booking percentage on the holidays platform is 15% against 4% across the network.

There's no bad news in these numbers. Many of the 319 will phase out over the next 5-6 years but deliveries of new aircraft will remain in high volume as the network expands.

The new maintenance in Malta will increase availability and process these new aircraft rapidly into service

Q3 last year was £203 so it's a very comfortable step. I expect easyjet holidays to contribute £60m profit in Q3 a jump of around £11m. Again a very comfortable step. No easter in this Q3 unlike last year but it has been solid busy with few interruptions apart from operational challenges. They have significant additional capacity and reach over last year.

We'll see very close to £1bn H2 profit this year landing £650m for the year. This is based upon visible enlargement, they simply have to sell the seats now and fly without incident.
