As always the fear of something is much bigger than the reality. If Florida just sells it's orange Juice to usa and none goes to Canada then I am sure that they are smart enough to buy from Spain. I have 18 orange trees in my garden that 95% just drop on the floor because the local price is €2 a box so they aren't even worth picking.

Transatlantic flights will be hit hard as people don't travel to the US and less business is done.

The world works around the toxic usa. New trade links are established and new markets created.

Europe moves closer to Canada, Asia and China.

The US debt spirals further out of control.

Globally us debt becomes less appealing. The USA is forced to cut military spending..... unemployed increases and the SS bill spirals out of control.

I meet with 4 hotel managers today here in Egypt. All are easyjet holidays listed. They are very excited about this winter. Like me they are very impressed by the flexibility the platform gives them to control bookings with daily flights. No rigid durations and they have huge scope to discount.

I took from the conversation that their unit cost for all inclusive is around $13 a day. I don't know how that works. Ours in Spain is around €44. Although Egyptian 5 star is more like 3.5 star.

I encouraged them to concentrate on building their easyJet holidays business and to keep it in focus through the summer as that's when they can make their biggest gains with random difficult to fill gaps.

It's interesting to see so many Russians booked in, the hotels are around 40% booked to Russian tour companies.

I wouldn't come here on holiday but I can absolutely see why so many Brits come in the winter.

Thumper Egypt winter is a huge money-spinner and offsets some of the winter issues elsewhere.

The downside is the risk of stranding with crew hours so there's standby at Sharm and Hurghada. Also it's a full day for the aircraft. On the plus side it's a very high saturation of holiday bookings through easyJet holidays so very good margins.

I am touring several hotels around hurghada today and meeting with their managers. They are all listed easyJet holidays hotels.

I can see that the resort is busy despite poor weather last week. This isn't a last minute place like Southern Spain in the winter where people watch the long range weather before deciding; especially the golfers. These flights are booked out well in advance.

I just sold out of BAE at 1632 and took a 3299 more here.

BAE will go up more but will be volatile and I am in Egypt today with limited access so I don't need the stress.

Easyjet have run samples in Germany and France which I thought went well.

I am expecting some news of a launch for easyjet holidays in Germany.

Wet miserable public holiday here. No work for me. I am on a 2 week fact finding tour starting next week. Lots of opportunity to see how other hotels are doing and to spread the easyJet holidays word.

Primetime I can see that easyJet has a lot of easyJet holidays bookings into our hotels, up around 18% in Q4. I can see that the flight costs are ahead of this time last year despite having additional flights on some 25 routes.The model accounts for inflation and variations in tax.

Our summer capacity is 48% booked which is crazy for the end of February.

22nd January easyJet said they were 13% booked Q4 which was up on last year. At that time we were 19% booked. Easyjet will be around 38% booked proportionally.

Málaga airport are projecting another record year and easyjet has added 62000 new seats for north south into Málaga. 14000 more into Almería.

Summer 25 will be another max capacity event for us despite adding extra capacity for the second year running.

I doubt that the wait will be that long This summer is booking solid.

IAG are up on their update. The easyjet update was positive but they dropped. IAG are exposed to multiple risks going forward that are starting to show now. Several major airlines are cutting US routes, I expect that to become a feature. The Spanish market is strong so Vueling and Iberia will do ok in 25.

Just ignore these fractional movements. The share price will trend up over the next few years.

Air France continue to reduce their summer transatlantic frequency as demand drops. We'll see more of that as people work around the US.

I took another £10k at 506 to add to the £28k I took this morning at 492. £10k was my profit from BAE this week.

Dr Maze I see it as worse than that. easyJet deliver and the market marks them down. About a week later it starts to move back up. It's becoming expected now. It will be interesting to see the response after H1 update as we are expecting a modest Q2.

It seems a sea of plus news is wiped out by the slightest hint of a challenge ahead. Almost to the point of wondering about the point of an honest update.
