I see that Luton borough council had their offer rejected on the old vauxhall site. It's been sold to an unnamed commercial entity.

I suspect that I know who that is but we wait and see.

Luton airport is a disaster but getting bigger isn't going to solve that.

Are we seeing a lot of US money arriving on this share driving the price.

Agreed. BAE are very deeply embedded in Europe.

The last 6 updates have been positive and immediately the share price fell. H1 will be positive but Q2 will be at best equal to last year and probably £20m behind.

Of course the nonsense from America creates some issues for people generally but it won't interrupt the £709m profit this year for easyJet.

Some things are easy to see, like IAG, of course far fewer people will be going to the US. Easyjet it's not about the commercial reality.

It's been a bit mixed in Spain and Portugal because of the crazy weather but we are around 4% up on last year which was our best year ever.

Summer bookings are strong and the price point is +3%

I rather suspect that buyers will be much more strategic than you think.

Around 20% of EU car exports go to the US. Over 15% of US car exports go to the EU.

You need to understand that America could lose 100% of its vehicle exports whilst the EU could lose 20%.

My question is where is the US going to sell all those cars

We'll You'll have to wait to see but I suggest that with many countries experiencing change that new opportunities will be plentiful.

Growth can come from disruption and unlike the UK Europe are very proactive.

I maintain that the US will be by far the biggest loser in this situation.

Garonne I don't agree. The US economy is massive to a few economies but not to the majority. Here in Spain we have nearly nothing from the US and it certainly is not something that cannot be replaced.

As an example I have purchased €3.2m worth of equipment in the last year for my employer. I bought nothing from the US. I shopped in Japan and Germany instead.

There are plenty of alternatives. The exports the US had can simply be substituted.

Exports to the US have become cumbersome and risky. Now finding new markets may seem like less work and risk than the US.

The US can be isolated and I believe that it is being.

It will not happen in 3 months but the US is already a much smaller global force than it was and their significance reduces every day.

It's most difficult for Mexico and Canada simply because of geography but they will form new alliances. Certainly with Canada we can see that happening already.

The impact on the US from the tariffs and shunning of US exports will be much much greater than on any other country

The impact of trump stupidity is 5% no more on others countries than it will be on the US.

This is a very positive global refocus away from America.

The reality is America needs everyone else much more than they need America.

Normally this situation is forced on rogue countries as a control measure or punishment but here is trump doing it all on his own.

In due course countries will realise that no relationship is better than a toxic one and turn their back.

I think that the UK will be the last to leave America and that will cost them opportunity and friends globally.

They have always followed America like a pathetic puppy. Hopefully given new global opportunities they can move away from the fascists.

The problem isn't how well easyJet do it is how the market values it. We know the Q2 numbers aren't great but we have seen great results take the share price down 10% many times.

Currently I would say people are avoiding risk and will take any profit. They anticipate inflation. I don't agree with that as I see nothing coming from the US that Europe needs.

America are absolutely screwed in my opinion.

My experience of the Brits holidays is they are going on holiday no matter what. Some have scaled back a bit.

We'll see lots not doing Florida and heading to Europe instead.

My concern is Germany and france but that's offset by strong demand from Scandinavia.

We still see a big summer ahead in Spain and Portugal.

It's busy now but the last weeks were slow with poor weather. We had lots in for the Málaga half marathon last weekend. One group was 36 people from the UK

The problem is global it's certainly not a UK issue.

Largely Brits continue as normal which certainly isn't the case in Europe.

The business is going well, aircraft are full. Our hotels are 92% capacity.

This isn't the problem. The problem is the amount of money in the LSE and the risk profiles. Clearly these are very dangerous times and not a time to be exposed in

any large way. I suspect most investors are sitting on cash right now waiting it out.

I hold bae and when I can't make money in a defence stock in this climate you know it's a problem.

If you believe Trump is trying to end the war you are delusional. Trump is trying to steal the maximum and spend the minimum. He has already failed to end the war as he boasted he would. Now he is "very angry" which means his diaper is full.

Trump is just in this for himself and his billionaire buddies. He creates instability with his captain chaos cloak of stupidity and that's globally a massive problem.

Ultimately America will be the big losers but we'll all feel the pain.

Some patience is needed here

I wonder if we'll see a spin off or sale of the US business.

It seems a bit of an awkward and cumbersome attachment at the moment and could be costing some contracts in Europe.

No as I posted a few weeks ago I am just keeping more core holding. I sold around £320k only.

I have a substantial holding in BAE which is also struggling. My other investment has been in expanding a solar investment that I have.

The problem isn't easyjet. They are flying full planes.

The problem is s how much confidence and money people and institutions will run on any share.

I am down to bare minimum. I have taken around £300k off the table. I am not alone.

Interesting times for this share. The business still seems to be delivering. Very few safe havens from trump chaos.

Here in Europe things continue just the same. Lots of Americans moving over. I have lots of job applications from Americans looking for visas but can't take any with locals still looking for work.

Obviously it will get much more crazy yet but the market will be less shocked as we move forward.

IAG continue to fall as I expected. I just don't believe that future bookings are normal, I don't think that many will be traveling to the US this year unless they absolutely have to.

I think that Europe is very different to the UK but ultimately the same view will result. Here in Spain there's a massive anti US movement and strong support for Mexico as you would expect.
