RE: Harland & Wolff is Extremely undervalued, even at 30p.13 Jun 2023 23:21
That's all fair points LWHL. I don't see targets as rigid numbers, because I too have witnessed people setting these kind of targets only to fall short and watch the share price fall. I see them as more guideline figures. If it climbs to 48p and doesn't look like it will climb higher then that is a good slice point. I don't intend to sell all at that level by the way, just enough to derisk my very overweight holding here somewhat.
I'm pessimistic as to where the share price will be end of this year after the performance so far this year. I would take 50p end of 2024 if you offered me that now. I believe the significant growth in this share price will be realised only when lots of IIs come onboard and I don't see that happen until we hit 2023 forecasts and then keep the forecast for 2024 as announced - to break even.
For this year I think JR and finance will take us into the 20s, some contracts mixed in will hold the 20s and we may briefly see a 12 month high. But realistically I disagree with those saying JR and finance alone will take us to 50p+. I may be wrong of course, but better to have low expectations and be surprised than have high expectations and be disappointed.
