RE: Harland & Wolff turn down Β£75m offer for Gas Cavern.5 Jun 2023 23:31
"so, if a buyer comes in an meets jws valuation of im ie approxΒ£120m , the sp would stay in the teens. i dont think so. buy on fundamentals , sentiment can change very quickly. financing deal and contracts are on the way."
the share price would likely rocket into the 20s after the trader groups on telegram and twitter ramp the crap out of it. it would bag in a day from this level. then they would all sell causing a sharp pullback as buying interest begins to wane. the rest of those who bought would slowly sell over the following weeks as they get bored because "no news soon!". or their stops are hit due to others selling. we'd likely have a higher base (upper teens) from those who bought in the 20s who are on 30%+ losses as we did after the fss win, but yes i believe we would be back in the teens not long after. this is how every bit of news has gone here since the fss win.
as i said in the other thread, only iis and funds buying will prop up any share price gains as they will not be selling after a week or two. i believe a tr-1 would do more for sentiment here than any news of contracts or the jr as that would signal that iis are starting to buy. the fundamentals here are great, but they won't translate to share price gains until iis and funds come back onboard. the majority of pis will do nothing but ***** and moan whilst trading.
right now ii/funds are holding large amounts of cash or don't like the uk market as was said in the other thread. to attract them to harl we will need to restore confidence by hitting 2023 revenue forecasts, and not pushing break even back another year. closing the finance deal will also help as it derisks the investment a fair bit.
by the way dog, weren't you suggesting 50p by the end of may recently? the share price is defying even my most pessimistic scenarios from earlier in the year when i said i would be happy with 30p at the end of 2023. at this point i would be happy to see us maintaining a share price above 20p at the end of 2023. it's all about 2024 for me now and whether we break even, and hit the 2023 revenue target. i am fairly confident we will hit this year's target, but most of the market will remain sceptical after what happened on december 30th.
