RE: I suspect11 May 2026 15:22
Fwiw Seadoc, I bought again today at 161.8 because I felt that was on a vague support and in any case would be within about 5% or so of a likely bottom and if it closed around the 155-162 area then that would unwind the RSI . At the moment it seems like a good move, but sometimes you just get lucky, but then again it can turn on a dime.
In smaller stocks (although this is a £1b mc), i only use the rsi and obvious support and resistance lines to try and time entry/exit.
I have found in aim stocks that Moving averages, volume, and other popular indicators are not reliable enough to base my decisions on.
Its very easy to get whipsawed with fast moving stocks and TA generally is more reliable on indices then individual stocks because they have small spreads, huge volume and liquidity.
Some stocks meet some of the criteria but ultimately are so small that they can be easily manipulated. (When I was training in futures they advised to stay away from the ftse 100 as an example, as it was too small and could be deliberately moved.) so it was bond futures for me.
Anyway. this one looks good for the near future!
