Pedro, charts are never wrong. They just buys and sells in the movement of the SP and represent it in graphical form.

It uses human behaviour that is reasonably and in some cases, highly predictable, to see if based on past trends, they are likely to be repeated again. Mostly its based on the emotional reactions of fear and greed and they often, being so powerful, overwhelm rational thought.

Its often stated that news will blow charts out of the water, but that is a fundamental misunderstanding of what a chert is/does.

If an RNS drops that causes a rerate of fundamental value to the stock then people will buy asap because they think the sooner they get in the more money they will make. That action will translate to a chart formation.

If you look at AVCT then nothing has changed at all. no revenue, no deals, trials without enough overall data. Yet the SP has been very volatile over the last 6 years. So why do people buy when the majority sell? why do people sell when the SP has and is going up?

Its too complex to know individually but charts do give an excellent indication as to what may come next because it distils it all into a readable format. And there is no magic about any of it (albeit its full of oddball names), its just human behaviour.

How that data is interpreted is why you will always get 2 views, because the SP always has 2 options. Its just what are the odds?

Given the SP is where it is and failed for so long to go further you could say it is likely to fall. Thats why so many sell at this resistance point. Bank your profit because it could well go lower. And then if this is the time it goes through the resistance then you can buy back in at say 85p.

Again its a misunderstanding to think just because you sell at 81p and buy in a day later at 85p that somehow you are or were "wrong".

Its not LTH. Its shorter timescales with potentially smaller but more regular profits. AVCT has in hindsight been a great tradeable stock because of its high risk for both profit and loss. Those 2 factors feed fear and greed and if you can step emotionally outside those pulls you have a great chance to make money using TA.

Its just you were quite specific and as you have confirmed there is a method you hsve used to get there.

Notwithstanding your reluctance to share that data analysis which is your right of course, how many times has this analysis/gut feeling combo worked?

The support/resistance levels have been there for 12 months plus so its no revelation.

The most recent levels are seen to be the most relevant which is why 80-82p form a TA pov is so significant. its been there about 8 times over the last 9 months.

It looks like this will be the time it breaks through decisively. If it does then the next one is 99-102p.

Its not really "stop-the-front-page" insight.

Hi D, As i say you and all your family have my best wishes, I know we are strangers and all that but still i feel after all these years that i know you at least a bit, and consider you a friend.

I bought avct twice today. I was very disappointed with the reaction all day yesterday on what I thought was a good RNS, so was seriously thinking of halving my stake an this morning it immediately opened a little higher and I thought sod it, (very TA) and bought some more (it was on a support) and then as it came off the top late in the afternoon a little more as by then I decided it was likely going to go through 83p tomorrow.

I reduced CPX and my "safe stock" Nat West (which I am not happy about as I like to think that portfolio is ring-fenced) were the fall guys for the money, (I also bought more XSG and ITM as well to round it off)

Anyway, none of it matters in the great scheme of things. If you would like to pass on my best wishes to the family please do so but I understand I don't know them and they don't know me so probably means nothing to them.

Touching distance of 12 month high.

With todays momentum it is very likely to break through. There is a possibility it will test it for the first hour but I think the market was doing that towards the end of today.

More likely there will be some early buying to get in asap.

Many of us thought if it was going to happen it would be this year and maybe at last the hopes and dreams will become a reality. Time will tell but it should not be too long now. At the moment it still feels like Pi's are the buyers. The big catalist outside new news, would be a tier 1 stake (or two)

except you could have sold at 76p-78p yesterday or 75p as it started to fall and bought back first thing this morning at just over 72p.

And even if you sold at the close yesterday it would have been just over 71p, so not quite the dramatic one chance only if you sold yesterday you imagine.

Also had you sold yesterday almost certainly you were in profit.

I was disappointed yesterday at the immediate SP reaction to the meet (I may have posted something to that effect, I can't remember now). :0))

Todays bounce is encouraging borderline very.

(I know charts are always right but yesterday the close at 70p was a support and a good place to buy if you were waiting for an entry point. Just for the record i did not do that, I am just saying).

It looks now a new 12 month high is on the cards very soon (at last) and will most likely allow quicker rises to follow rather than the very stop start progress over the last 3 months.

Fingers crossed anyway.

Ok so I flip flop which means sometimes I am positive but I don't think anybody here thinks I am ever positive, but I do apparently spread fud which means you think I am trying to manipulate the SP downwards but I only post here of which I think maybe half a dozen or so people read my posts and you think I think that will move the price down as opposed to having a view of concern?

You keep saying the extra data improves the leveredge and therefore ultimately the value of the stock, so why when new data is released does the SP go down? Sorry was that fud or is this just another post you will avoid answering when your flawed logic is as ever exposed

SP falls by 10% so they obviously did not rush out and buy some at this never to be seen price again.

There was no "job done" the RNS did it.

It means the platform works in that it is safe and releases the drug in the tumour. The doses presumably were so low as to make sure the patients were safe should it not have worked properly.

But everyone already priced that in.

I am still at a loss why they persist with these science days. Its all being done in the US. the key is the data and that can be released via RNS.

All it does, without fail is to depress the SP. at this rate there will be sell offs prior to these events.

I don't know if it is some here but I think its fair to say the £200 ex china, the I would not want to be out of this at the weekend, the rns could drop any day, the you will never be able to buy in if you miss the red dot, and all the rest that are now seen as a joke were not when they were all originally posted,

The RNS did the job. and again no breakthough (and why should there be at this stage) which again begs the question why bother.

It can't be to bring AVCT into the pharma spotlight after all these years surely?

You always deflect criticism extolling short-termism as the culprit: How long have you been a shareholder? How long has aim mis-priced this stock? I have been a holder for nearly 6 years. As usual there are always gaping holes in your argument because there is to me a theme of poor thinking. Once you come to a conclusion your mind snaps shut and no new news or argument will shake you from that.

(All trading did was allow me to profit as you have done too apparently for all your dismissive and hypocritical tone of people who simply buy and sell more frequently than some, and make some money while still hol;ding)

Hold on Chris, Aim is exactly the market for companies like AVCT.

It is for loss making companies to gain recurring capital to advance and continue (potentially) ground breaking, or at least novel, technology.

If we park just for now the trials that are going on, lets look at AVCT and all the various strings they had to their bow over the years, every single one of them has failed to be comercialised. Yes the LFT, but also the diagnostics, the various test that were cheaper and more acurate etc etc.
