Noddi, every situation is actually different. None of us know what is going to happen. For those selling they believe the risk of holding is to high, they be right, they may be wrong and the SP goes up. Those who buy believe the SP won't go any lower, they be right, or then again not.
All anyone can do is base the decisions on the info at hand. try and use some common sense and what works for you, and finally, you don't have to be in this stock at all, you don't have to buy just because it is less than it was on Friday. (but you can if you like, its your money.)

Do you know the due diligence BMW apply to their suppliers?
Do you know the due diligence Boo apply to their suppliers?
Are they comparable.
Do you know what level of compliance a BMW supplier has to sign off on to become a supplier?

when it fell this morning to 272p the RSI was 10. now its 273 its 36. Lower highs are being made as comes back to support around 270-272. Looks like another go at breaking the support.

Harvey I think you have hit the nail on the head. If that's all there is to it then as you say "this all ridiculous", so why do you think the SP has been falling for this amount of time and this far? Do you really think it is just a very well hidden supplier problem that Boo had no knowledge of?
(By the way given your experience, what would happen if you did know one of your suppliers was acting illegally?)

it was worse then that then that Greens, BP was accused and I think found guilty of negligence (was it corporate manslaughter?) and fined billions and billions, and it was not a great recovery play either given the time it took to be resolved.
So not a direct comparison at all with boo but shows you that if wrong doing is proven then it can take a long time for a SP to recover

I agree SS, looks to me stock is tight and any sort of (biggish) buy is going to push the SP around 10% or so.

KK how many years were you waiting for 500P (it was I think around 550p before the spill). I think it was dozen years or so and do you realise with your buy at 330p that it came out that BP' was hours away from insolvency during the crisis?
Its actually a good example of Boo. This is nothing to do with fundamentals. The risk now is much higher and surely all realise that the gain is limited. So you buy now at 273 or whatever. where do you think its going? 280p 285, 315p? Do you really not think there are better returns for less risk out there right now?

SS, what do you think the large spread infers?

KK are you mad! BP recovered after the oil spill? how long did it take for BP to get back to where it was the day before it happened. And how long did it last? and where is the SP now?

pretty obvious reaction with the SP, very understandable that it went up to where it did based on a leak of a gov statement coming out that an order had been placed. The fall back is the interesting bit. (I know it can and might fall back further) but it has come back to around 194p which suggests to me there is greater support now. The £138m is seen as not being a game changer, with the implication that if AVCT are the recipient of a govt order it will be larger, maybe much larger ,than that. As a result, not so many as might have been expected to sell based on the order not going to AVCT which in turn means there is an increased expectation of a higher SP than there was at the close on Friday.

Adam, As you probably know I use charts to indicate where a share price is like to go. Presently I think there is a trading range between 270 and 289p. If it fell below 270p then as that support went I would expect it to then trade between 210p and 270.
Would it test 210? I don't know but the speed of the fall suggests that if 270p goes we could be getting into capitulation territory and therefore further falls could be equally as dramatic.
I think you are right to highlight how difficult it is to place stops in this rabid climate. Also I think you are quite right to express that depending on time frames and expectations, that individuals will come to different conclusions over the current situation. I would just suggest that most who post here are looking much more short term otherwise why would you bother? My reference to "astute buyers" was simply a reposte to the assumption made that the fall is based on Panic selling. it might be, but then again, it might not.

To me in this highly volatile and unknown situation where the fundamentals are of no importance right now, I am simply amazed at how many want to "top up" without the fentest clue as to what might unfold. Its a pure gamle. and (pay attention Hln) people who like taking (high) risks don't usually prosper over the long term (and very often the short term!)

its one of those counter intuitive things: The typical personality who has more chance of success in short term trading tends not to like or enjoy gambling, and conversely those who do are not normally successful in this game.

KK devils advocate: How do you know Pcw have not reported something to the authorities? They don't have to tell the general public do they, indeed they might be obliged not to.
There is so much assumption and emotional garbage on the responses today which is why the majority of PI's don't do that well over the long term

Point 1: actually no, everyone does not do it as it is illegal and if found out companies would be fined, it would/could then trigger HMRC investigations and no company wants that. I am sure it goes on but your blanket "Everyone does it" is wildly inaccurate, even in the sectors you spewed out.
I still don't know why anyone is talking about fundamentals of Boo. Its got nothing to do with that and has not been since the fall started.
The fear is that boo might connected with VAT fraud, and money laundering. That's why there is this sell off. Its preservation of capital. If there is nothing to this then they will buy back but until these issues are resolved they will stay out. Its not panic, its unemotional acceptance of the unclear picture that surrounds Boo.

Fwiw, I would suggest you do not assume anything. How do you know the reason for the sell off? Maybe it was a lot of very astute people deciding that the risk reward was no longer in their favour and therefore they did not "panic" but took a rational decision.
How do you know the brand will come back? It might, it might not.
Try not to let your guesses or bias justify your decisions.

Hln, if boo falls below 270, and therefore would indicate further falls in the SP, what price would you sell out at to preserve your capital.
You have not answered yet, and you don't have to of course, but this is a fundamental question you should have addressed before you placed your top up this morning. (i'm trying to see where you are on the psychological learning curve you have to pass to make a go of what you are attempting.)

Ok Hln, thanks for the reply, so have you actually bought boo stock? (I think it sounds as though you have). If you have what price are you going to sell at both if it falls or rises? (If this is part of your day trading learning you must know these 2 exit prices, yes?)
