irrespective of what merit TA has, a "trader" just buys or sells, they don't "deceive" anybody.

Or are you are suggesting is that a ( large) group of TA traders, communicate together (and presumably all the time), and all say the same thing to get a huge majority of other investors to change their mind on their holdings. (And this great pool has to be easily influenced investors.) I am assuming that's what you mean because there is no way 1 individual can get their "deceitful" message across to enough people to influence the SP.

And by implication, (being deceitful), it has to be contrary to what is actually going to happen, which pre supposes they know what's going to happen, which means TA works, doesn't it?

just for the record. I did not say Aids was not serious, I was, in that post highlighting, how British govts over react on a number of issues over the years.
Yes I do think vaccines are the long term solution to this pandemic, and I cannot speculate on mutations that have not occurred and efficacy that is still being assessed , (but currently is highly effective) . It is you who make unfounded assumptions to assert that your view is "correct".
I consider the UK, not because I am UK centric, but simply that is my area of experience. I don't "quote" what is happening in the RoW because I have no way of knowing what is true or not.

I have argued for a sense of proportion on Covid. I never ever said that cancer was not serious!! Quite the opposite. We are treating Covid more seriously than we are treating cancer.

What is the average age someone dies of covid in the UK and what is the average lifespan of someone in the UK? I wonder if you will post the answer?

BIL, I am sure you are correct in your conclusion but its a shame that a contrarian viewpoint is "not allowed" to be heard. (And when it comes to repetition, I would just make 2 quick observations, at several hundred posts per day, a valid point of (any) view, gets subsumed in a couple of hours at best, so revisiting a theme is the only way sometimes to get further thoughts back.
And my god, we have the same endless "is it us" ramblings and its variations that run into 100's per week so all it comes down to is, post positive things or don't post at all, and good or not don't post about TA. (even though it might be a thing.)

But remember this, so far any other research has proved to be timewise , consistently, exhaustively, comprehensively incorrect.

Its quite difficult to debate anything on this board, Agreeing with the positive bias is fine but that's about it, mostly.

BIL, I am not disputing or complaining that this BB is positive towards AVCT, of course it is, that's perfectly understandable and self evident. But not all companies go from strength to strength. (Look at RMS unfortunately).

And I look at this BB to discuss the pros and the potential pitfalls, and again its instructive, when looking at the language people use to define me, If I have serious reservations about an aspect of AVCT's potential then I am simply a deramper, cut & dried, shouldn't post on this board and should go away. if it is "balanced", its not really, its "subtle" deramping

Even when I am out and out positive, I have simply bought in and trying to influence the SP to suit my short term plans.

Cinders, Are all "serious" investors millionaires then? And when you say No one who uses TA is amillionaire, how do you know that very, very sweeping statement is true? (If a couple of my plays come off in the next few weeks I will be millionaire so that would completely invalidate what you have just stated. Would it change your view?)

Yes Doze I am a trader but I am not sure why you use the term "confessed"?

Its not traders that prey on peoples emotions, Traders react to the price action and are just trying to buy and sell on a more frequent basis than typically LTH's , and make money. (Traders don't alter the SP, unless I guess if they are very large shareholders)

And be careful when you say who's preying on peoples emotions. This board is almost exclusively pro AVCT (as you would expect), however, that leads to many posters here ramping the stock and you could equally say, buy promising untold riches if you buy this stock, that it is inducing other people to top up or invest, on nothing but optimistic forecasts.

Neut: I'm not sure AVCT is a buffet Stock presently. Its a small high risk, loss making company and with maybe a tech he would not understand. (given that was one of his mantras and as a result he stayed away from a lot of the tech stocks when they first came to market.)

Cinders, its exactly the reason TA can be so helpful because it reflects peoples emotional swings when they see the SP move.
That's why you will sometimes get MM, to prey on an expected reaction when the price is artificially moved.

Its long known that many Pi's buy at the top and sell at the bottom. Why do you think that is? (or maybe you don't think that?)

Thanks UN, I am looking for a close above 4.45p to confirm the down trend is over. ( I see early signs that it is but want the rise to be more confident. I an 80% confident at the moment.) My first target would be 5p and the next 5.3p Although I imagine this will take a little time in which case there will be more chart data to re-define my expectations.

Anyway, it will be clearer at the close... could be a long day...:0))

That is the most disappointing thing on these boards, people (including me but rarely I think), jump to conclusions about individuals based on the narrowest of reasons (ie just talking about one subject), and they think they "know" you and are happy to spout off their opinion of the individual and the thing is, its remarkable just how wide of the mark they are.

Its just the bloody spread that holds me back otherwise I would be in Eve like a ferret up a drain pipe... (no, that didn't come out right either...)

I think the chart is very inviting right now with a confirming RSI pattern supporting the likelyhood that it has bottomed out.

Sorry to hear about RMS. I know you have taken to looking at charts a bit more now and I'm sure you can see its pretty straightforward: 3 goes to break 3.05p and the 4th attempt only made it to 2.90p . (This is where money management comes in. sell when it fails to go through a resistance and then tries but doesn't even get there, but if you are wrong you buy back in at 3.1p ). Anyway, that's when the warnings were to sell. And absolute confirmation when 2.18p was broken and it fell away sharply. 2 further spikes to reverse decline topping out at 2.2p to recover and still failed.

Right now Its still in decline and still with room in the RSI for more falls. Given it looks pretty unloved I would expect it to revisit .058p (it might test 075/078 but its been so brutal and un remitting I would think its going to have to go back to what was a the last significant resistance. If that goes then 038p or thereabouts. (i know nothing about the company).

Its on a 15m delay. type in HE1, go to chart and performance, rab lower indicators and tab RSI Cutler.

(I use close of play time intervals so the 15m is of no real importance to me.)
