Your logic is based on an assumption that have no info on.

What if they are struggling to raise money and that the "delay" is not because its in hand but because it isn't?

How many times have avct raised money over the last 6 years and how has the SP reacted each time? Could it be in these uncertain times that lenders may be cautious given AVCT's track record?

I would also point out that when the loans go out sometimes the lenders get an opportunity to make a profit by selling immediately on the spike that finance has been resolved for the short term. That indicates to me that the lenders are not interested in AVCT long term and simply want a quick return on their risk.

Which in turn suggests that AVCt are probably not in control of the conditions of the loan.

If the next bout of finance is already resolved as you believe why hasn't it been already announced, as on your logic it would not be left to the last minute.

What purpose is there in keeping the already financed future under wraps, unless of course its not done yet, which again assuming you are correct, means that are still issues to be reolved.

The fact there is no major SP uplift and no TR1's on board suggests to me, that AVCt is still very much in the high-risk bracket of invest,memts, with nothing taken for granted by the wider market.

I do not claim to know what is going on behind the scenes, but simply by realising the multitude of scenarios available, I find it impossible to guess which one will prevail.

I get routinely insulted for being cautious and not reading in what is not stated by AVCT.

To quote brokers notes as though they know more than the rest of the market is patently absurd. We have all been invested in companies that have disappointed but according to brokers notes are undervalued and making great strides.

To think only a few on this BB know, not the potential of what AVCT are doing, but purport to say they have already succeeded and that not a single person in BP are aware of this just highlights the extreme amateur nature of these posts.

They say they are not ramping but that is exactly what they are doing.

How many times in AVCT let alone any other loss making company any here have invested in, has the wording of RNS's been ambiguous? Suggesting an optimism that is not actually there? Let me help: you ALL OF THEM. Why do you think that is? to hide good news from everyone incl. shareholders? or to buy time/hide bad news?

How can it possibly be, if you are all so right, can the SP be where it is today and yet was 150p 3 years ago? how? how is that possible after all the data releases, all the RNS's all, the raises, all the talk of deals "in the not to distant future", of talks, of ND listings?

Is the new round of funding in place or are they struggling to get it financed? How do we know? Why do you always assume the only outcome will be beneficial yet at every turn over it has never been the case.

the last raise which we were all so grateful for was at 63p (i think), where is the SP now? has the heights loan been dealt with or just postponed?

Will AVCT go it alone or get bought out or do a deal? None of us know this and whatever the outcome it is will affect the SP dramatically.

Caution is so obviously the correct way to view this stock that it only highlights the absolute and complete lack of any investor analysis when the this response is routinely highlighted as to engender cancelling, or insults, or lies or ulterior motives of SP manipulation (god help me), I am genuinely always amazed, not at the usual suspects that waste their time and display their infantile stupidity when they do reply, but the amount of recs they get.

Adm, fwiw these are the questions I pose to myself in these situations.

Has anything that i know about changed?

Could there be other reasons for the fall?

Was I expecting to sell today?

If this hurts emotionally, am I over invested?

Is this an opportunity to add?

Its the emotional pull in these situations which cause many PI's to sell at or near the bottom

Here is another one: If it went up 25% today would you sell?

If you can identify the reasons for your concern (emotional or rational), it may help you in making a decision.

Have a plan and stick to it.

If you think things have changed and it will take longer, adjust the plan.

If you don't know whats going to happen and feel you are completely in the dark then reconsider what you had expected by now and decide if this is type of stock suits your overall objective(s).

fwiw I don't worry about pond note gain but instead I focus on percentage gains. If at the end of the year my portfolio has grown by more than the rate of a savings account it is ok. ideally I look to compound 10-15% annually.

My experience has taught me it is (very) hard to make money quickly but relatively easy to make good profits over the long term.

Helium shortages are starting to hit the MSM now, so I think we will get a sizeable bump today because of that even though we won't be producing for a while yet. (Tanzania)

I do think Galactica may well RNS today about the first tanker. I expect a profit forecast update given the increased spot price this week to go with it.

I can see a doubling in our SP this week. (well, I would not be surprised, might be better put.)

Anyway lots of news, with lots of jam tomorrow, but it should give the stock momentum and speed up talks for a JV in Rukwa (imo etc etc)

Im not thats true, but in any event:

None of us know whats going on. We all know that.

So we post about what other companies are doing in the sector on deals etc etc but that has no relevance to AVCT (because they are different companies).

All we do know is that if it works then the shares should appreciate from here dramatically.

I think as for instance without knowing whats going on, that a company that could be worth anywhere between 10 and 100 times its current value in a matter of months would not have a SP of 70p. it just wouldn't. (For that to be "true" the market would have to be completely in the dark about whats going on and it isn't.)

That suggests that there is still a lot more risk attached to this company than almost all here acknowledge.

To hang on every word that CC utters is imo extremely niave.

Anyway, posts that are "positive" but groundless are more than tolerated. Any post such as this, will be derided.

Yet this post is not anti-AVCT and is only stating the very obvious.

I am sure some might post "we all know this!" but that does not stop them posting their "positive" but blindingly optimistic utter guesswork as somehow more relevant, accurate or helpful to the undecideds.

There is a reason why so many small PIU's lose their shirts on these types of stocks.

many like to falsely believe that its all about research and joining the dots. if any really do believe that then they are not as smart as they think they are.

The way most PI's can make reasonable to pretty good returns over the longer term is in big PLC's whereby there is much more detailed info available to all and upsets are less likely to occur or if they do over a period will morel likely come good again.

These stocks are fun for sure, but it is a blindfolded gamble and no one, imo, should be in any doubt about that.

(And for those who don't agree, then has this stock over say, the last 5 years, remotely performed as you expected? And if not what does that say about your "research"?)

Do you know why there has been no update from galatica re helium sales? Do you know who HE1 are talking to in Rukwa? Do you know how advanced these discussions are? Do you know if there will be a cash raise to investors?

I could go on, but absolutely fundamental questions which affect the SP and none of us have any idea other than complete guesses.

However, to every single question posed, both the BoD and the people they are talking to know all of this.

This is not about risk reward as the reward is unquantifiable although the risk is absolutely bracketed: you could lose the lot.

This is a straight forward gamble but much higher than backing a horse, say, as you don't know the odds or the form or the competition.

Its more akin to a lottery. When one realises that it should hopefully put into context the amount risked on the "ticket" you (we all) have purchased.

Well, I think the market was expecting some income from galatica.....as opposed to radio silence

I had a close on the HL chart of just over 65p. I watched it closely the next day and so far so good.

The market knows where to place the stops too so I have found you have to be a bit canny and be flexible hence around 66p.

Although its a mechanical system nevertheless you are battling the market makers at the same time.

And what this episode "proves" is that you have to potentially put in larger stops than ideal. That then has to be reflected i the RR ratio when taking the bet in the first place.

Anyway i was not stopped out on this occasion.

I am absolutely sure there will be an update if thee has been no news prior to the results.

The silence would be a very poor indicator otherwise. (its pretty bad already!)

There is nothing in the chart to worry me about selling as my stop loss is not close to being triggered.

I recognise that timing these stocks is for me impossible, however the mis 80's projection is still clearly on track but it looks like this 72p mark is alittle more stubborn than preciously interpretated.

Has a phase 1 or 2 trial ever failed in the history of pharma trials?

I ask because this seems according to everyone here a done deal before the first patient has been dosed

What else would AVCT say? "We are not expecting the trial to be a success or an improvement on what's currently available"?

Good grief, and this is compounded by the history of this company with nothing but promises of great expectations yet here we are same as always.

Waiting for another trial while not knowing where the funding will come from to fund the future. Hopefully this will be different, but how many times have we all thought that?

We are going to have to wait until Q3 for any update it seems, then we can see whats what.
