Thanks for your concern SM, the last post was just a more a wry response to AVCT and his somewhat sanctimonious reply to blame others response as to when they have been on the receiving end.

As to here, I rarely read anything of use too, so perhaps as none of us can influenese anything about anything we should all go?

Again, its just your opinion but just don't engage, don't offer an opinion on what i should or should not do (who do you think you are?)

Its not that I am or try to be "all knowing", it is much more the either downright stupidity of what some post or more often baseless assumptions that I query.

Still after all this time and lots and lots of posts replyinmh to my various musings no one, still has answered my question as to what time line they thought CC was referring to when she said "not to distant in the future", deal.

The reason I have persisted with it is because there is much praise here for CC for keeping us informed, meeting timelines and being generally a straight talker, so as to infer we should take at face value everything she says.

if it turns out that based on what she said everyone reading it here expected the "deal" to be done by now, it might change our view of her timelines when she speaks in ambiguous terms.

I am not trying to catch anyone out or score points but simply to exchange ideas and views.

It really isn't my fault that AS turned out to be in hindsight so poor. Its not my fault that with the best of intentions and £200m AVCT have not commercialsed anything yet and that for LTH's to date its been a dog of a stock.

Hopefullt this will strike gold..

Buyers do not drive the price up. They do everything they can to get the lowest price.

It revolves around what the seller will accept.

Buyers might be prepared to pay 70p and when the seller says no they say, ok, 75p but if the seller says no, then if the buyer wants it, they will pay more.

Its driven by the seller.

Conversely if the seller wants 70p but no buyer will pay more than 65p, then its up to the seller.

Yes, its supply and demand, of course it is. But thats not what i said all those years ago. I said its sellers that drive the price up while buyers try to drive it down.

it was and is so uncontentious as to be beyond a response but thats not my fault.

Buyers try try buy at the lowest price. Sellers try to get the highest price.

So id a buyer offers a share holder 70p for thehre share but the holder says no I want 75p, then who is driving the price higher?

I would be a little more patient Touk. If it closes abov73p it will most likely go to 82/83p so another 10% on short term offer.

There is no such thing as "value" or "worth". We do all realise that do we?

Its simply if AVCT sells what somebody will bid for it.

If they buy it for $20b and the following year its worth $10b then will it have been hopelessly overvalued?

If the SP falls to 50p or rises to 500p which one is the "correct price?" both, neither?

Do you forward value the stock in 24 months time to get a fair value today?

Its all rubbish.

The only thing that matters to shareholders is the Share price. People will buy or sell based on their own, individual expectations. Not some nebulous concept of what may or may not happen 1 month or 1 year or 10 in the future.

To think any of us can even ball park where the SP will be in 12 months shows the absolute futility of these discussions.

There has not even been a single bit of data released yet and here we are exactly back in the same loop almost post for post, word for word when AVA6k started.

Remind me 5 years on, how has that worked out? Apart from the 3 raises and a distressed SP. Did we get a license deal? did we get bought out? did we relocate to the ND?

So AVCT, premature previously, but that was when CC mentioned it (what does she know!), but now, with no data yet its the right time?

Anything else you simply want to make up?

I think CC, being american may have a ND bias, however working on the assumption it "works" which is still a huge leap by the way, the valuation of the company will soar, at that stage it will be viable to be listed on either the 250 or ftse 100.

Why go to the added costs which will be considerable in the near future, to just let my cart get to the horse?

(Thanks for the advice SB but this hobby pays pretty well, as I seem to have a better handle on this stock than most here.)

at some stage you will realise that AIM is not the reason for the SP.

There are many (as DG has highlighted in the past) UK-over-to-US stocks that have disappointed.

if this is so obvious, then why don't US PI's and II's buy at these very low prices? Why, in this era of 24 hour buying and available information do they need to wait and pay a 300-500% premium for the same company?

If AVCT are waiting for the initial results of this trial and they are as good as CC is forecasting then do you really think the SP here will not react?

What do we think? a doubling would not be out of bounds? 200% increase which is 210p oh, hold on that makes AVCT worth a about $1,2b, so why would they need to go to ND.

We don't know if AVCT want to go it alone or will sell out if the offer is good enough. (Would £5b do it for all here?)

This latest very small raise for a trial taking place in the US could and presumably was highlighted by AVCT to their US financial contacts.

I don't mind idle speculation but thats all it is, there are simply so many unknowns, not least no results from the trial, that prompted my cart-before-the-horse remark.

You may think i am idiot but it would seem I am in good company here.

Do these $1b valuations include any dilution to present shareholders?

Right now the cart is so far ahead of the horse that makes this speculation utterly absurd.

Did we not have this talk when AVA6k was doing its thing?

It is still not clear to me why only £10m was raised.

If it is because that is all that is needed to get the first results from the this trial then clearly its anbuy out/deal that will ultimately bypass ABVCT going it alone/ND listing.

There are other scenarios but I don't think anyone wants to discuss any other option other than a multi billion pay out to current shareholders.

Whats to talk about? its a science day where they will discuss the science on a date in the future? its a dead end conversation, unless you just want to make stuff up what MIGHT be said?

Chris, again, that was not my point and not what I was being accused of. It was my lack of understanding the science.

I have 50 years of investing in stocks as experience so my "intuition" is pretty good. (Although in truth i don't know what you mean by intuition? Some nebulous feeling that this is a winner? Did you feel that at 285p?)

Again this narrative that I know everything when I expressly explain I do not.

It seems only I have the honesty to admit that these "investments" are punts rather than you lot who seem to believe you know everything but the irony is, your "knowledge" is gleaned only from reading what you are told, with no peer reccommendation.

All I have ever said is that this is high risk and we have patial information to go on.

I have said that I think AVA6k did not perform to their own expectations and had to alter things along the way and that hopefully this new trial will show that advancement.

Still carry making up stuff I never said if it helps further inflate your ego and feeling of superiority.

Ben, I have always said that. I understand what they are trying to do and the simplistic way it is described. I simply acknowledge that this is cutting edge technology that BP has not cracked with all their money and resource with the very brightest chemists and doctors for decades.

Not being a bio-chemist, I readily admit to not knowing and therefore understanding what they are talking about when they go into detail.

Assuming you are not a mechanic, do you understand how a new car works now? Do you understand the computer involvement in every aspect of its construction and performance? Do you know every legal hurdle that has to be cleared? Are you aware of what competition each car maker has and how they fare against it?

Does that stop you buying you next vehicle after your own due diligence, even though you actually know very little?

I rely (rightly or wrongly), on the SP because people who actually do know what AVCT are doing in detail relay that information that is then translated in to SP movement. Which is handy, because as I say, ultimately its the only thing that matters to us PI's

BV, the science detail is way above my head and the only thing that matters is the SP.

AVCT may crack it the day after another private company leap frogs the whole thing making AVCT right all along but their tech and therefore SP worthless.

Now, I don't have any reason to believe that will be the case but we have no knowledge of what unlisted companies are up to. But it will only be the SP that will define the success or failure of this stock pick.

That is why I concentrate more on this than anything else as it will ultimately be the only yardstick used.

(PS how have the other science days gone? is this the first one?)

Its a fair point that no company is fully transparent, however the RR's and BP's, Nat Wests etc have to be more accurate with their info due to the size and reputaions they enjoy, as a result there is less room for "surprise".

As for CC? I have mentioned this a number of times and not a single poster ever, has responded with their view and that was, what did you think time wise did CC mean when she said a deal in the not to distant future?

I thought it meant 3-6 months, If she meant it to be a year plus then I would say that was disingenuous as she is dangling the carrot that in the near term a deal will be done which implies talks are quite advanced? No? is that unreasonable?

Has she been exceptional in her communications? How would we know? AS at the time was pretty good, all the interviews with Smith and others? Its not what they say, it tends to be the words thy use and what is not communicated that leads to the ambiguity.

Asa it is I think CC has been much better with meeting timelines which starts to rebuild investor confidence after what went before.

All our judgements are made in real time without full knowledge. Some will turn out to be right some wrong. I agree that is the nature with particularly loss making companies, but it highlights the risk and in my strict(er) terms does not really equate to "investing"

disingenuous? well given we have never met you have no proof just a made up assumption so you post it as a fact when it is an opinion.

Now given most of the abuse I get is because of my less optimistic view over the years, and as that has proved to be a correct strategy I don't see where the "disingenuous" assumption comes from?

Maybe you think I try to influence the SP but I can't and have always made that crystal clear at every opportunity. Have I influenced others here? How do I know? If I have there is a chance they may have made money, on the other hand have all the bullish posts over the years influenced any here? Well if you think my posts have, you have to acknowledge that other posters could too. How has that worked out since the high several years ago of 285p?

I just think you and the others should just calm down about your wild opinions and inaccurate insights to my character and spend more time thinking things through more logically. But who cares, do what you want. Whatever you do has no effect om me.
