RE: Silence10 Feb 2024 10:23
McMuff, yes its very odd.
I have no idea if your final intuition will prove correct or not but AS seemed to imply that the business was overvalued for bigger players to come into right now.
(To be fair it was an unscripted answer so it can be interpreted a couple of ways), but if the intepretation of it being over valued and therefore it was a brake on further outside investment was correct then the lack of coms thereby stoking the fears of uncertainty has ,caused quite a devaluation.
It seemed unthinkable that mid feb it looks like P1a is still going and that part 2 is in its infancy without actually starting the dosing yet, given what was implied in December.
Is the DX division making money or burning money? either option has a big effect on current cash burn so the silence is pretty loud right now.
Maybe the "partner" wants a much lower SP entry and this is the process of doing it. I can see the logic of that.
The other option is not so positive.
(The third "option" is that AS will shout "surprise" and release confirming great info out of the blue would be suicidal, because if there is no immediate backer in the wings then depressing the SP through deliberate poor comms would not go down well with all or any shareholders.
Its getting close to crunch time. More money will soon be needed. Is it already sorted at a lower price with a backer -in-the-wings and the current Share holders get shafted... or.... is there no immediate new news when the raise comes with no backer (other than just doing the rounds), and the current shareholders get shafted....
Again, only because it is so recent but HE1 was 6p a few months ago, then (for whatever reasons) more money was needed but the market knew this, so sold. in the end the board had to raise money at 0.2p per share. So the ones that benefitted were the buyers at that price, NOT the LTH who even at 6p were probably sitting on losses and now will still have to wait to hopefully recoup losses.
