It depends on how desperate AVCT would be to unload it but even so its hard to think it would be less then £10m.

I guess it could only work if the assets were substantially higher than the cost of purchase. But even then ABDX are so close to proving financial sustainability I can't see the need to give the market a reason to hold back with a "risky" aquistition

Oz I would guess, that if there are some "small" license deals that can be done, they will be done now.

Its always difficult to know exactly how far AS bent the truth, but if there were a few mill on offer then I think AVCT have to take it, because I agree with you, what jumped out at me is the overheads. and £31m ain't going that far, so 12 months tops. But in that time frame 2WD should be completed. if, if its really good then AVCT might just scrape through with a new raise at much higher price etc etc,, plus they must have £10-15m as a minimum for the DX?

Anyway as depressingly usual, this company is trading only 12 months ahead and all those "shots on goal" have so far been high, wide or just miskicked completely....

The financials were not great imo. nothing to the upside. The very best light, you could say it was already known. However I was not impressed with DX as I saw that as a potential source of good news. But 4 months into the new year and it has made no breakthrough.

Then the CEO gets replaced. I never thought at this stage, it would be a positive for the SP. I could have been wrong, but that was my thinking prior to the reveal today, so those 2 things caused me to bank some profit. Sorry. But there you are. I manage my portfolio with the aim of making money.

I have little to go on other than my wits and experience. What I don't do is just "hope for the best" as again, over the years I have always been disappointed with that approach. Esp with such a high risk stock like this.

Well CJ I sold my buy last week at 48.5p first thing this morning based on the no nothing RNS update and banked 10%. That's not mythical, that's not on paper, that's real money.

Do we then disregard the Paradigm shifts and holy grails? do we then reposition AVA6k as promising, and encouraging and still along way to go?

Will she give more info on the DX division, in terms of sale/timelines/expected value?

They have sacked the CEO for being useless. Think about that would you? How long as he been in the role? Does that mean everything he said was over egged? Does that mean maybe the results are actually only encouraging and not the "Holy Grail"?

Where is the SP? what has been its trajectory since the trial started?

Have you seen how much money is being burned?

The DX is going nowhere and all the time AVCT have it it will cost a few more million to keep going.

Its not 2 years of cash runway based on these figures.....

Its swallowing up money and resources. Imo, the cash burn is too high.

They need to get a very quick grip on expenditure.

Odds are that it will be nothing new but its the the first 4 months of this year that will be the most keenly read bit. How much info is revealed will be the key to a good day, a bad day, or a so-so day.

(No particular sell off today so odds are favourable that it won't be a "bad day" esp as I think AVCT has already cornered that outcome, so that leaves us then the 2 other options......)

Xen, it kind of isn't. That rise went to RSI 86 it fell back to 78 then had one last push and went to 90 which was manically overbought. It has been sold off since that rise and has never troubled the RSI above 80 since or that SP high either.

Nothing is infallible but as indicators go the RSI is one of the best.

I think thats about right. As you identify thought, the RSI is a little toppy so it reduces the odds of it coming to pass.

For instance it could drop from here to the support of 11.75 (ish) before moving up the stratosphere of 14p.

But as I said, on balance I think the odds favour slightly an increase from here.

And yet the SP has fallen.

Hi CI, yes it is a tricky call. I take more notice of the RSI when it hits 80 so from my experience there is still a good chance of further upward movement from here.

I I'm sure you can see it went to 13p and had a small retrace before closing back at 13p over the weekend. At the moment it a possible double top may form but even if that came to pass, a fall to around 11.75-12p would seem all it would go to.

My best guess is that it will rise rather than fall from here to at least 13.5p or 14-14.25p and then that would be RSI toppy and could well retrace to 13.p from there as that would in all this guesswork, be a support line.

At 20p it would be valued at £75m.

If it was valued at that price it would have been sold and the debt cleared and more money left over in the bank.

Still, we are in a market where small Bio-Pharmas have been under the cosh but I am sure you are right with AVCT's steady hand on the tiller they will have doubled the value of the 2 companies even though they are not making money yet after nearly 18 moths of ownership
