I would have expected that here would be much more heard from AS and CC about all his fantastic achievements blah blah, and what a great job he has done and he would have stayed on in some capacity, not sacked from all 5 active companies. (I wonder if he has a job lined up with the competition?)

but Bella's highlights, to me, just read straight from the standard CEO AIM playbook. Can be read how you want with loads of hopes and wooly, subjective language which if there is no real new news, and you are going to sack the CEO, then that's what you would release as a holding statement, to hopefully reassure the market and shareholders.

But as you say just conjecture to pass the time, although I am bit concerned that the first 2WD was meant to be reported by end of April and no mention of it has surfaced, which again, from the playbook, means disappointing/bad news news tends to be ignored for as long as possible. AVCT could have clarified saying it was going ok, it was a week or two behind or whatever, but it is the silence that bothers me.

If I don't hear anything by the end of this week then that will start to look like a red flag to me.

Best case this turbulence will soon settle down and it may be that good news has been held off to get the sacking out of the way and then the good news puts a line under it.

For all you or I know, the Short, because its so small, is a hedge and they are actually bullish about AVCT.

Its this Black White, you're either for or against AVCT etc that I find so dismal here. The fact we can't talk rationally about maybe exploiting any chance to make a few bucks is potentially a missed opporotunity.

You either are "for" the science and nothing else matters, its as though context does not exist here.

Investing is more nuanced then most here wish to explore or understand.

And what are you judging it on, presumably the SP, so if it closes down even a little bit more, then what?

Look, I get there is a natural positive boas here, but it does seema bit deluded in saying things like:

What moves the SP is supply and demand. If the SP keeps falling then it shows a lack of desire for buyers to to buy at whatever price is being offered. And that also means there are share holders out there wanting to sell, and when not getting the price they want simply lower their price until they can get out of the stock.

The sort of explanation above implies that the SP is at a false level and is outside normal buyers and sellers and is somehow not representative of what has transpired for 18 months.

There was little or no new news in the TU to support the SP and the forward guidance was also as wooly as it could be.

There was a report saying the first 2WD results would be available from the end of April. where are they?

Looks some very good tests to tempt the retail market to save the time and stress of dealing with Dr's, esp on the big ones like Bowl and prostate cancer.

I know that AS never gave the full picture. He only ever told us what we wanted to hear.

But why has only one patient had such a large tumour shrinkage? What were the results of all the others? Is it successful only in certain circumstances?

Why was the science day a flop?

Why does the safety trail keep being extended if after 4 cohorts the data was already unequivocal?

Why was there a delay in 2WD ,Is there a delay now? (end of April has been and gone and all that has happened is we have sacked the CEO).

AVCT say they will make up the time. Have they ever kept to a timeline?

Does nothing ever, I mean ever, shake your belief?

So the SP is rooted below the offer price at such a discount as to be a no-brainer. Why is that if its so "Black & White"

I am not short on this stock and never have been as I don't have that facility on HL.

So far over 4 years now my only experience of this stock is one of disappointment both in what has been promised and also delivered.

There is anew CEO now. It remains to be seen what difference she can make.

My initial reaction is if the reasons to sack AS was because of the DX acquisitions then that is history and he is just the scapegoat.

If it is for day to day running of the business then the best she can do is run it in amore cost focussed way, although thats not her history.

Hopefully its nothing to do with the science. In which case it has to trundle along.

There might be internal evidence of AS playing too hardball if anybody has been seriously talking to AVCT and putting them off? But who knows?

The problem I have had with getting rid of AS, is, is it because he over promised? Because if it is, then it calls into question quite how good (in the round) the data has been to date.

So early days with most questions still to be answered.

Do we know if the short is already closed? If someone is loading up it also means that are plenty of sellers at this price too...

Until the science is proven and a value can be assigned to it there is not much value.

The science seems to be progressing great, but the cash burn is progressing too. Its a race that so far with the never ending delays, the delivery of the science might come too late to save lth's. That's why its 46p.

All I have said as a generality, is that this is high risk and not to over commit. So far, everything AVCT have done and produced is pure text book stuff of the vast majority of failed small pharma.

Your devotion to the science is ridiculous when you consider what was said and what happened over the LFT, BAMS and ELISA products. All backed by at the time, the science and tests and data,

So continue with your devotion to the science but be aware that the science can fail and also that even if it doesn't LTH's could still end up with little or mothing.

There is obviously the possibility that this all comes good but as Soleboy pointed out, from here pricewise in that scenario good/great gains may be made, but for most here probably not the overall gains that were once hoped for.

The market is not as thick as mince, you might do well to remember that.

This stock has been a real rollercoaster and its swings have given opportunity to trade more frequently the any other stock.

The dilution of 20% is on top of the continuing dilution of the last raise, and obviously the one before that and the one before that.

Its not about the science as the cash runway is actually 12 months if there is necessity for having 12 months of funding going forward.

If cash burn is £20m and AVCT have £30m in the bank then at the end of the financial year (december) then the £10m left over would not be enough for the following 12 months.

When will you realise that all CEO's embellish what's actually happening? They never tell you the actual reality. You have years of proof of this. Why on earth do you think CC will be different?

The science is all that is left to save AVCT and it is a race against time and to win that race the CEO must give the most optimistic assessment at all times and avoid ANYTHING that could be construed as a negative so as to reassure the market. (Its like a run on a bank).

This is what makes AIM a casino, not the market or the MM's. Its always the BoD.

AS no good, never has been, PH interviews were scripted, whole BoD should be changed.

And guess what, all of the above is not about the science because as Thorn correctly highlights, the science is the science, that ship is sailing, no director can change that.

Think of all the recs over the years the ophidians, Rah's TTB, Myles etc garnered here. And now pretty much all of them are discredited.

We need a hold and close at 49p. that would be a third time through with also a third time supporting the 44p low.

That would give a firm trading range

a close above 54p would be bullish

The other side of that coin is that no one wanted to buy on the news either and the price had to come off by 5-10% to attract buyers, so where are the new buyers to come from?

Only on better news, I guess, right now the risk reward would seem to favour a wait and see approach.

I know almost on one here cares but if it went to 40p just to get to 80p its a bagger.. To get to 160p it would have to 4 bags.

That, as a return (whatever system used), would be fantastic and not run of the mill. My point is the price of entry is absolutely critical.

No one buys if they think it likely the SP will fall further.

CC did nothing to inspire me (as a for instance) to rush out and buy the stock on what was presented or what was sid or what was forecasted.

In fact the replacement of a CEO is a negative, and the cash burn feels like its bordering on out of control. (I don't mean running out of control, but can't be controlled internally and is subject to events.

Its about risk management.

(If there is anyone here who thinks they have lost so much its not worth selling now, then thats an example of poor risk management.)

One thing is apparent to me, there are many here who seem to have no appreciation on this aspect of investing and actually, all joking aside, that really is a trait of a gambler.

The chart is looking pretty sick I'm afraid.

we bobbled about at 44.5-45p for a few days but we are in danger of falling below that at close today.

It has revisited it already today but gone lower but in the great scheme of things it might just keep above it by the close.

Otherwise, then take your pick where it might go to.

It would trigger a double top fall from the 48p recent high to 40p at a minimum.(I'm not a big fan of DT's but plenty are)

This is where it starts to feel very binary.

FA will point to imminent 2WD update. And if its good then there will be (i would expect), an immediate upturn. However, if there is no news (ie delay), then it might make some jittery as to why. Or maybe the first dose is too soon to draw any conclusion, in which case will there be another round of Heights selling?

At the moment for whatever reason, the market is "happy" not to gamble on the various potential outcomes with at the moment a bias towards "no news".
