Except the point of these BB's is to try and figure out whats coming first rather than react to news as its a bit late by then.

A recent example might be the raise at 50p. Would it have been better to talk about it before it happened rather than after? Or is that just FUD?

All Thorn has said is reasonable and I would also add that if you are going to quote a date (anticipated or not), then there was a reason to do that. It means, to me, therefore there must have been some significance to AVCT to mention it in the first place.

It then follows that they should update, maybe just through X , what the current situation is and why it is what it is.

That's all, no making a crisis out of a drama, but when a company has a track record for missing dates and then when news does not follow it has always transpired to be bad news, and add in that the CEO has been replaced, it is obvious that a more clear update would confirm maybe, that things have changed on the coms front given that that has always been a criticism from shareholders in the past.

So not to do any sort of update, only fuels the rumour mill.

After a big jump like today, given there was a lot of price action intraday, the momentum usually carries over into the following day at least.

The nice bit, is that if you get to time it right, you no longer worry about a bit of up and down because your stop loss is 25% away, which helps remove some of the emotional pull of what to do next and allows you to stick to the "plan" (whatever it was!)

The BoD's recommendation would likely carry the day if worded in such a way that the alternative. It could be a bid for as little as 100p and if the Bod said:

" we recommend this because its along way to go yet to commercialisation with nothing guaranteed and we are happy that company X has decided to bear the risk with that we consider a fair price given the need for more cash raises in the future..." etc etc etc.

A lot of Pi's would I am sure fall in, with or without gritted teeth, if the alternative seemed worse.....

Chart looks ok with an RSI reversal pattern in play with a fairly tight stop of either below 332p or further down at 324p if you want more latitude, with a first target around 375p, so the risk reward is ok/good too.

Well you do by continually and never endingly referring to the ones you have apparently filtered without even knowing what they have said. This adds a level of stupidity as the whole point is to ignore them.

Its a bugger thats for sure. Triggered my stops so I have scaled right back. It makes sense in as much that no funding deal has been announced yet from HARL and it is so long overdue.

Still, you never know but Its a very dangerous game for newspapers to publish this type of stuff if they are wrong as it destroys their credibility, plus if it turns out to be right than the Times will have been vindicated for their previous "hostile" stance and then that criticism ceases to be true or relevant.

Look at those factors first before deciding to invent unsubstantiated fantasy scenarios that it is a few individuals that somehow have the ability to manipulate a £180m bio pharma SP over many years.

Given its a prediction surely you would expect confirmation if it has come to pass or not? There is absolutely no basis to assume it has. Particularly as AVCT NEVER meets a projected timeline. Given AVCT's history the assumption would be rather that there has been a delay rather than the other way around.

If your assumption is wrong then you next assumption is incorrect too. Building assumptions on assumptions is a dangerous game and again, given the history of AVCT I simply cannot comprehend how you continually make these jumps based on everything that has gone before.

Its like taking a penalty. You have missed every single one you have ever taken (dozens), but you will score the next one and then go on to score a hattrick. Based on your previous record that would be a ridiculous forecast.

Unfortunately Largo, until I actually read a statement of something happening in fact, all this future stuff has historically never happened. I am tired of reading about potential this, new developments that, pipeline opportunities, etc etc

That's the recurring drag of this company, never delivers on time, never surprises to the upside and all the time new therapies, vaccines etc are being developed and publicised.

I will be delighted if AVCT does actually go forward with a surprise turn of speed, but its always hints of things to come in the future that somehow never quite materialise.

Wims, we have to wait for the the test well first and there is obviously some doubt as to whether there is sufficient money in the coffers to pay for that. If not, then I expect it to be shareholders to fund it and only if that then determines reserves and all the other data necessary to start to value commercially the find, can other forms of funding be looked at.

Also Nobby, it could be the market cap at only £21m that is stopping II's getting involved too, as they will have fairly restrictive parameters into what companies they can or can't take a stake in.

If this goes to the plan we all want then it feels like it will be a domino-type action with, as a best guess, positive IM court judgment, followed by a up-to-date valuation on it, quickly followed by the new finance deal, allowing more orders to be placed, allowing a hefty revaluation.....

(So, its all pretty much nailed on, I mean, what could possibly go wrong :0))

Thats the trouble with filtering.
