It depends on what you think the SP tells you20 Sep 2024 10:20
Its always interesting to me to look back at long term charts to see if a story can be told that is different to, in this case, the majority of Posters narrative.
The SP peaked at 185p in 09/02/2023 on the back of the 4th dose completion, then started to decline quite quickly. I imagine the market got wind of, instead of moving on to efficacy, the trial was going to be extended with several more cohorts.
So although the results from all the extended dosings seem to confirm the potency of the tech, the SP moved out of its 100p-160p trading range to a new, more recent 40p-80p range.
That SP long term moves maybe contradicts the seemingly effectiveness of the trial. (I am not so sure, more likely uncertainty and money.)
AS left the company very abruptly but that came later. The trial extension clobbered the cash runway causing dilution through cash raises. The Trial extensions then maybe, caused doubt if there would be yet more "delays"
(My best guess fwiw, is that the DX purchase was forced on AVCT to have an insurance policy in case the trial failed or hoping it would be cash generative to support the income for AVCT going forward.)
I am still concerned as to why AS left. Has material data from the trial been omitted and only good stuff cherry picked in RNS statements? I think it has to be something pretty important as this was his baby. If everything was still going forward never mind the past events, then why now just when we are close to P1B?
There has been a change of direction with some weight being put on the "pipeline" rather than AVA6k?
So the SP is bang in the middle of its current Trading range with a very important TU due very soon.
It looks to me that the market has lost confidence to some degree with AVCT and is waiting for some clearer direction to a sustainable cash flow and is not in a hurry to buy in yet if yet more dilution is on the cards.
There is FDFA approval, where are we with that? has P1b started? How long will P1b last? What happens afterwards, whats the next step. What is happening to DX.? Is it being sold? What value has it? Is it cash generative?
CC has the opportunity to put the latest trial update into a context to inspire the market that this tech really could be profitable. But if she can't or does not answer some or ideally all, of the above then the market will continue to let Pi's kick this around, and keep its powder dry until the fog clears.
The upside well, we all know that. The downside is also pretty large because presently, the Mkt Cap for AVCT is based on a successful outcome, even if that has been delayed from initial expectation.
