RE: Funding2 Oct 2024 10:23
This is the 3rd time its been deleted. please do tell why? (Sp down 5% so far today)
The "problem" I have, being somewhat cynical of CEO's, is not the pipeline per se, but the absence of info on AVA6k.
It seems to me, that they knew it was safe in pretty high doses by the end of DE 4, 20 months ago. We get info released that there is a much higher concentration of dox in the tumour.
So if its safe (which clearly it seems to be), and its known there is loads more dox in the tumour then why have we waited so long to go to efficacy? (Has 2WD actually produced any more useful info?)
CC said it was not enough simply to be safe (fair enough), accept if you could give people more dox safely then thats surely better than what currently is dosed, unless of course the dox is less effective.
That does seem to draw a straight line to Thorn's long held query being, is dox as effective when wrapped in the AVCT tech?
It over whelmingly suggests to me it isn't. This seems to be supported by then talking about pipeline and 2nd and 3rd generation. In other words, the trial to date as shown where actually the tech has been less effective than expected and that these results is allowing improved development.
So far from exceeding expectations its been the opposite.
This would explain BP's seeming lack of interest, as well as investors, big and small, generally.
This may be very typical of this sort of bio pharma trials, thats fine, but it also shows that this is a very long road.
Its not that this won't be successful, I think it will, for what thats worth.
What I have a much less clear view of is timeline and how much money will need to be raised and at what price the SP will fall to before deciding when the time is right to buy.
I am wary of Nasdaq because that could be a huge dilution (maybe 50%). That would influence a buy out price. (assuming one comes in?) And that assumes CC is being straight and not just floating a balloon to keep PI's on board and that a US listing may or indeed may not, happen. (Its certainly expensive to have 2 listings.)
There are so many unknowns here it is no surprise that the SP is suffering. And the important fact here, is that this is a loss making company burning cash at about £2m per month.
