I won't mind a takeover as long as it gives us all a fair and decent return on our investment here and doesn't take the p1ss.

My gut feel is this early takeover speculation will come to nothing as its only just got DIA so has a LONG way to go and numerous hurdles to jump before becoming a producing mine, so can't imagine anyone paying sufficient premium to meet its potential value given the risks and hurdles still involved.

KYC - thanks. So compression will result in 4.5 times better recovery from Elgood, which is probably what I was recalling from an update ages ago. Testing the flow after dewatering is 1st step though and cyclical production until compression sorted to recover much more.

Just read that a 5% move in sp following speculation triggers requirement to RNS about a takeover rumour......

I won't actually believe it though until an RNS issued, as don't they have to RNS if in negotiation about a takeover as it is market sensitive info ?

Sincerely hope the sp wasn't manipulated down to current level to make an offer look more generous as a multiple of a smaller sp. Anything under 15p would be awful. Hopefully something north of 20p is able to be negotiated if this is to happen.

KYC -you confusing Elgood with Blythe H1 ? No communication issue with Elgood as its one well I think ? Blythe H2 showed signs of communication (with H1) but no further detail following that mention !

They definitely previously said Elgood would need compression to bring back, but has very depleted reserve and short life left anyway.

7am interims maybe ??? If so, then the sp could either be in over 3p or sub 1p region tmw night dependent upon whether its positive or negative news within.....

I know we all need patience for another 3 years at least, but surely SAV must be embarrassed that they persuaded II's to take up the recent shares at market rate with basically no discount on the premise that the shares were already trading cheap at a third the rate of peers at same development stage, yet now those II's sit on over 25% loss and could have purchased now far cheaper. So SAV must be keen to issud good news to reverse the sp slide to at least regain those paper losses ASAP for the II's?

Last year the interims were released on Thursday before Aug Bank Holiday weekend, so maybe same again ? Will they issue bad news within it like last year ? Maybe news update on refinancing? Some positive news in that respect plus a good production report would give sp a boost.

I'd still like more detailed info on the communication between H1 and H2 wells that was briefly mentioned, as the risk is that H1 being shut in means that the gas and water from H1 could migrate to H2 as its only source of release, so I feel IOG should be updating us on that issue and the latest situation, as I'd like to know how they are mitigating that risk, as water from H2 could be curtains for us all.

Bad day for the sp, drifting over 7% lower. Is this just more impatient investors taking their money elsewhere looking for quicker returns or an increasing loss of faith in the SAV story? Talk of further protests doesn't help I guess as it was hoped that the DIA and continued ongoing dialogue with locals would put an end to such opposition but it seems not. SAV really needs to provide some positive and informative newsflow regularly if the sp is to avoid this downward drift. Dale said it would be a busy rest of 2023 after DIA so surely must be something to say by now or very soon?

Surely they'd be duty bound to RNS gas flowing as it is a market moving event.

Nonsense, as H1 was non-commercial due the cost of handling the high liquid content last year with gas price far above current prices, so nowhere near commercial now af current price.
