Paranoia setting in maybe, but is it coincidence that sp taking a hammering soon after powerful Portuguese outfit is rebuffed after trying to buyout SAV. ???!

Could they have significant influence on locals, govt depts and legal parties to apply opposition pressure ? Drive sp down on back of this and come back with bid again to "rescue" SAV from disaster, then miraculously the opposition will disappear and the Portuguese entity reaps the benefits of the mine ?! I smell a potential rat developing....but I may just be paranoid !

Not happy with this significant downward sp pressure. Is thuis really all just due to the legal challenges and community actions that we keep being told are without goundation, or is something worse going on in the background ? Why can't SAV lawyers throw these out quickly if no foundation to them? Need to get big EU lawyers involved as Li is desperately needed for good of the whole of EU so surely some seriously powerful EU legal body can stamp these challenges out promptly?! Lower the sp hoes the more danger a low bid might take us out.

I do feel a formal response should be issued by SAV, not just for us shareholders' benefit but also to clarify the situation to any interested potential commercial partners, etc.

Or maybe a committal at the Southwark site would be more appropriate as that was the start of IOG's slow death.

A good update I feel which gives an idea of the amount of background work that has been going on since DIA and some idea of what's to come. Nice to hear that regular updates are planned. As long as we, as investors, can feel assured things progressing well then that's great. It's a long game but there is future success in sight in another 2 or 3 years, not a share for short term profit seekers.

IB - you're comparing apples with pears. Wilko is privately owned so no shareholder comms needed and also in administration.

And "sp barely unchanged" ?? It shot up the day of rumour nearly 10%, which qualifies under the rules for issuing a statement but as I said earlier, nobody bothers following them on AIM !

Narwonah - the first two points on your list were met but no announcement made about bid discussions. No surprise though as pretty much every rule can be ignored on AIM without any recourse whatsoever. I do hope that at some point we are enlightened though.

IB - I really don't think your analogy of an approach of £1k would make press in several publications whereas this "rumour" has, so that, and the consequential sp increase that day, is why it should be shared as it was a market-moving event.

Anyway, heads back in the sand everybody and wait quietly for 2025.

Seaton - no expert either but my understanding is they should issue statement of news that can affect the sp, and as this rumour was published in a few places as posted on here then I feel they are obliged to issue something but possibly only either once an offer is made or the talks conclude without a firm offer ? I also read that if the sp moves 5% or more after a rumour they should announce but they haven't said anything yet despite the movement over 5% since the rumour. Presumably talks may still be ongoing ? Has anyone on here actually contacted SAV yet to ask about the published rumours ?

If they're serious then it'd need to be a 50% premium over the 15p that Dale said we should be trading at now alongside peers at same stage.

It would be great if Aethel are serious and bid 20p or more.....and then a Boehly type bigger fish come along and offer double to seal the deal !

Seriously, I would personally be happy if Aethel do prove to be a serious bidder and offer 20p or more at this stage, and even happier if that did ignite other suitors into action to create a bidding war for SAV.

Probably lots of II's also but just under 3% each. I also think a lot of sensible long-term retail holders that see the future value so won't accept low-ball offer. The 20p plus level is being widely spoken of so any current bid likely to need to be in that area at least to have chance of success. Personal view is no firm bid of acceptable price will be forthcoming at this stage of development.

IB - agree but its only a low-key rumour so far without any hard evidence so not sure it will flush out any other interested parties yet as I'm sure serious bidders will keep their powder dry as long as possible. IMHO, any less than 20p and upwards need not bother breaking cover !

Smartpunter - only Al Marjan around 15% and Slipstream around 8% as major holders over 3%, so a very widely held share and no option gor bidder to just tap up a couple of big holders to gain majority, as they'd need to convince a lot of parties to accept an offer so would need to be decent I reckon.

Osaka- 2.5bn upfront and guaranteed further 1.75bn investment to follow, equating to 4.25bn. Anyway, who cares, my view is that this bid rumour will come to nothing and our sp will retreat again until further positive news from SAV. Your view is clearly that this bid will come through at a healthy figure, so let's hope you're right and we can cash in our 20p plus per share and move on 3 or more years earlier than we may have done.

Osaka - As I tried to clarify to you but have been met only with hostile abuse then kindly explain your reasoning please, oh wise one........

Osama- it's really not difficult....Chelsea was worth over £4bn easily yet they only bid 2bn for it, so not a serious bid as never going to have been accepted, so suggests they just try to pick things up on the cheap, below their true value, so I expect they'll try same with SAV. Understand now?

Doesn't bode well if she only bid £2m for Chelsea but they went for £4.25m to Boehly. So she probably likely to be a cheeky low bidder for SAV too methinks and hopefully gets short shrift in return. Probably trying to take advantage of the low sp to snatch it for peanuts. Oh well, back to the low 3's when this news fizzles out.

Bert , as I've said already, I don't think this story will lead an⁸ywhere as SAV wouldn't take such a low offer knowing the future value and bidder won't offer enough dud to thd risks and hurdles ahead. Dale said that SAV already trading at 3 times less than peers at same stage so he sees 15p region as current fair value.
