@JohnnyD - I am guessing that the CAD$30mn that JL paid for Income Access buys a heck of a lot of information on individual users and that combned with the existing NETELLER and Skrill userdatabase will provide a very clear LZ for GOLO V1.0. What small reatiler would not jump at the chance to be on GOLO - a database that has a prospective Xmn customers right in their post/zip code - and the beaty is it will cost them 50% less than Visa/MC. Perhaps that was the thinking behind JL $6bn MV

Well JL gave us a $6bn MV prediction - and he is never wrong - that is $12 per share or 978p in GBP double current sp - so we need the double whammy of - new revenue stream from mobile digital white-label product and the re-rating that will naturally come from such a move. Simple really - then we become a target !!

All about being in the right industry at the right time and invested in the right company - PAYS managment under JL just have their finger on the pulse - I am hoping for big announcements at money 2020 - I think that will really kick us on over the next 12 months It wouldn't surprise me if one of the really big guys takes a strategic stake/offer for pays - providing retailers with the infrastructure for a whitelabeled inhouse store card via mobile digital wallet is massive - and at half the cost - win win strategy.

He is correct PAYS is undervalued However he should be using a DF of around 3-4% not 8.2% - reason being is that that is where the company can borrow as it did for the Skrill acquisition - therefore if it was good enough for the syndicate of 3 banks I would tend to think it is ok for DCF. So I think a 50% premium is probably about right - £9.60 And when you think about it that makes sense PAYS is sitting on a 50% discount to UK/EU peers and trades on a PE of about 1/2 to its US peers.

BARC - overweight at 560 target sp. I can but help thinking that this will be easily surpassed in this qtr. Money 2020 next week and then qtrly update on 8th Nov followed by NOV/DEC roadshow which will probably focus heavily on JL $6bn Market Cap comment - new market segment growth that triggers a re-rating =$6bn I wonder if the qtrly updates we have had for the last yr and the ramped up number of roadshow presentations in the final qtr is all leading to a NASDAQ listing in Q1 2017 ? Pennsylvania due to vote on Tuesday the 18th re on-line gambling that was previously postponed - we could get a surprise before Money 2020 Graph lloks good for SP to kick on from here - I would expect we might see new highs next week ahead of Money2020

I should have added, AEK couldn't have picked a worse time to take a short punt against PAYS - FX has really moved the position against them and will continue to do so - totally regardless of the underlying business i.e. FX : * Cable ( USD/GBP) FX rate has seen GBP weaken by some 16% since Brexit. * PAYS earns 95% of its revenues outside UK. * Estimated EPS by Barclay's for 2017 are 47c per share. * At current sp we are on a forward PE of about 11 - that is really cheap - and at about 50% discount to peers. Dates for the diary : 18th - Pennsylvania legislature vote on-line gambling ( postponed from end Sept) 24-26th - Money 2020 Vegas - demo of new mobile wallet - possibly announement of strategic tie-up 8 Nov - Q3 IMS ( trading update) 17-18 Nov Morgan Stnaley TMT conf, Barcelona 8 Dec Berengerg European Conference - Pennyhill , Surry That looks to be a very big marketing programme - must have a very big and positive message to deliver !! Breatheasy - more than likely AEK have an extensive portfolio of investments of which PAYS is just one - so losses on short can easily be lost in the noise id large gains elsewhere - eventually though it will flag up somewhere ( margin calls, large position report, leverage, risk limits, etc...) IM will probably at some point park their ego and realise it is time to close/cut the position

yep but the sp didn't budge - could be more desperation selling by AEK - sp has risen 25% since they statred shorting just before brexit - ouch !! Only a matter of time before GS risk team cut their trading limits and up the margin rquirements - probably short squeeze them !!

Sp looks to be holding up well so no worries - for every seller there is a buyer and visa vesa

Breatheasy - clearly GS wanted this broadcast - they aacquired an interest in 3.01%.... just over the threshold - hard to say what AEK logic is/was - clearly flawed though - losses are probably in the £10+mn mark - ouch !!!!. It does seem to have classic "double down" gambler traits - it looks to me that as sp continued to rise AEK increased the short to try and turn the tide - finger in the dyke stuff..denial as to making a mistake on initial trade. as for GS news- I note te trade date was the 30 Sptember - Qtr end for reporting P&L and Risk - hard to be 100% sure - if I was to try and rationalise I would hypothesise that GS acted as Broker to AEK - with Prop desk and Asset management took the other side of the trade - running open risk. It gets to the 30th Sept and they decide they don't want to report £66mn + of open risk ( 2-7% of £2.3bn ) - so decide to close naked position by borrow the stock to hedge the short position with AEK ( plus a bit extra) ..... oh and by putting on the hedge at this level they can recognise profits to date of £10mn+ ....nice work !!. ....well that is how I would assume GS would make money on such a trade. note .... if you wanted to be discreet you would borrow 2.99% not 3.01% when threshold is 3% ...unless you wanted someone to know that you were running an open position previously...... ideally hoping that same person will now close the sjort position and you can close out the short position on your books preferably before someone makes a bid or stock takes off on good news i.e. new wallet partnership ... that is the only logic that I can see that fits the circumstances... and I come back to broadcasting it by borrowing 3.01%...when 2.99% would give you anominity ......hmmmmmm
