It looks more than likely that there is a takeover coming. Someone is buying big time and got the market makers / brokers to try a few games this morning. Didn't work. A good hold at present Imho. Haven't worked out where the level is to force the passive funds in, but must be close. So plenty more upside. And if you factor in divs expected in a year then still cheap.

The over optimism is much nicer than the crass negativity of only a few days back, but probably wise to be a little more cautious... Good luck and remember that divs should return in a year or so and when they do should still give room for rises about £1. But may take a little time. We don't know who is buying or why, but I guess a takeover is a possibility... Maybe Moonpig?

Never a bad thing to take a 100% rise in a few weeks! I'm guessing the index funds will have to start buying it this creeps into the 350 or whatever just as the price tanked when it dropped out. Any shorts obviously badly burned too. I only wish I hadn't sold 10% of my holding at very low profits!

Stock is somewhat cyclical. Good divs which will hopefully continue. Just be patient and it will recover. Unsexy stocks are still being undervalued on FTSE but will get their time. If your portfolio can stretch to it might be worth adding a bit more to get your average price down. Meanwhile a div yield of about 4% is pretty nice...

Defending Paddyboy is a bit unnecessary... What he was doing / attempting was 100% out of order. Balanced opinions welcome. Extreme views fine, but say them once, not 30 times.

From the over negative to the over positive. Oh well... At least as a holder of a sizeable long position it makes me feel better. I do somewhat fear the refinancing though, although less so the more the share price rises.

That's a real positive and should help a good deal with reopening costs / cash flow while also taking pressure off the refinancing. Clearly, better to wait a bit to refinance if possible as the SP recovers a little...

Absobloodylutely! Not sure what it means to CF yet but boosting the high street generally helps footfall at the very least...

A balanced view might cheer some of you up. Yes - poor management, long term decline in SP and profitability. But - many prefer impulse card and frippery buying to internet rip off pigs from the moon, school kids / parties / birthdays / balloons / banners and bunting will return, CF will benefit from Chancellor give aways for the High St, new CEO should increase distribution channels and online while reducing less profitable stores, CF has high profit margins and benefits from stronger £. If you're gonna go on and on and on about the downsides, it's probably a good idea to point out some of the good sides. SP after any (hopefully sensible) refinancing looks set to rise and a doubling or trebling of MV net of the relatively modest debt is more likely than possible.
