If you can wait, then wait. If you can afford to buy a bit more to reduce your average price, now is perhaps a great time to do that. Patience is the key, while ex accepting any equity like this one carries a decent slug of risk.
RE: From overweight on CARD to obese (18% weighting)6 Oct 2021 19:35
True, but don't forget the share price jumped from 30p to 90p pretty quickly earlier this year without especially good reason, the share price was about £2 or more not so long ago and that dividends of 5p or more per sharevper year shouldn't be an impossibility once the debt is reduced. Shops / cards / school parties / balloons / wrapping paper / silly little presents etc don't go out of fashion and - with sensible products to sell - many people want impulse buys rather than internet despite that being part of the future of CF. And don't forget the partnerships that seem to be quite promising overall. And never forget that any equity raise would reduce debt and allow dividends to become more imminent. Or that this is one perfect takeover opportunity. 1000+ shops is not to be sneezed at...
Market generally, retail, Moonpig down, delivery concerns, supply chain concerns, recession leading to reduced spend on frivolous stuff... I guess. But oversold or over-marked down, so just be patient...
RE: Seems like the sell off is picking up pace4 Oct 2021 13:34
Buys well outnumber sells every day as pointed out and no significant shorts that we know of. This looks like MM manipulation ahead of a takeover bid or something similar. At this rate I'm gonna own the whole bloody business!
Remember, folks, share buyback doesn't add value immediately. All you are doing is using cash which is already part of the value of the company to buy shares at market price. Getting them cheaper helps of course. The value add comes when dividends are paid and there are fewer shares to be paid. If it's just removing share bonuses being effectively given to management then it's all pretty much just taking money from unemployed shareholders and giving it to employees and management.
