ITV should have continued the transition away from broadcasting and to purely making content for International audiences. They should have gone for the profitable side of TV.

That transition would have left many producers and "household names " out of pocket. Daytime presenters and presenters of long running shows would have had to try acting or producing formats they were unfamiliar with. Dame dimwit threw these people whose sector was being squeezed a lifeline.

In return she got a huge salary and big bonuses that are guaranteed whereas at Easyjet her package was subject to performance. She got to bring in her EZJ cronies and mistresses and they all got their snouts in the trough.

ITV ended up with a corrupt leadership that are only interested in taking money for their own personal gain and lining the pockets of chums.
