It might make sense to move funds away from FTSE listed companies and invest in other markets or at least UK companies who are not so reliant on the UK economy doing well.

Most of us big earners have stopped working so hard. Only a few days a month now to cover bills. HMRC went after freelance, self employed and now they are reporting 9 million are no longer in the workforce. I was easily paying over 10k a year in corporation tax for the last decade, every year.
