Tether is for both retail and Institutional, this helps make it liquid. VGOLD is just for Institutional and has just two holders, QGP and Valereum, so they can buy and sell from each other and nobody else and it is backed by metal that is still in the ground.

VGOLD-COREs price is linked to the spot price of gold Bash, so why would an investor buy VGOLD-CORE, where the gold is still in the ground, as opposed to Tether gold, where the gold is sat in a vault? I am genuinely curious.

Again how to VLRM sell these tokens if they wish? There are no buyers in the market.

That would rely on their being many users of VLRM markets, as far as I can tell there are none. Why buy VGOLD-CORE when I can buy Tether Gold which is very liquid so I do not need to worry about selling my holding should I wish at a future date.

Bash can you tell me why an II would invest in VGOLD-CORE when there is no secondary market and so it is very illiquid? If VLRM wish to sell the $13.975mil worth of VGOLD-CORE they are given each quarter how do they do this?

Who is responsible for paying out the yield on "staked" VGOLD until the gold is mined?

From what I understand Theanalyzer the yield comes from the difference of cost to get the gold out the ground and the current gold price. Gary made it sound like there is about a 150% markup here. Quite who pays that yield while the gold is still in the ground and unrealised however I do not know.

PP1 by your logic that VGOLD-CORE can be sold back to QGp for cash at any time are you really telling me that next quarter we we get $13.975m worth of VGOLD-CORE tokens we can sell that straight back to QGP and not on a secondary market? The same QGP that could not pay us $3.9mil just three weeks ago?

Ok so I buy 1 token of VGOLD-CORE from QGP for simplicity let's just say $100 (the spot price of gold) a week later the spot price of gold is $125, I then sell back to QGP and have made $25. Where has that $25 come from? The gold is still in the mine so QGP are out of pocket?

You said 5 minutes ago was also for retail. I cannot see how the secondary market will be liquid VGOLD-CORE is no different to any other gold linked token or gold bullion itself. The supposed yield or coupon would be paid on the VGOLD token and it's not all that clear how that can be paid until the gold is out the ground.

Gary said VGOLD tokens are also not for retail investors. He also said the yield is on the VGOLD not the VGOLD-CORE. Your take and how you perceived it is therefore wrong.

Ok cool, but if there is no or little secondary market then the token is very illiquid and so IIs won't buy the tokens. This is before we address how VLRM are able to flip their tokens gifted to them by QGP

I read it thanks PP1. Breaking my own rules e by replying to you but can you tell me why an institutional investor would put over 1mil USD into VGOLD-CORE as opposed to just buying gold bullion? What is the secondary market?

Gary sain in his interview with stock box a few weeks ago that they won't be taking on detail investors so it looks to all be II.

I just don't understand why QGP don't just fund the mines themselves and reap the rewards from guaranteed gold return.

I'm also not sure what we add here and what they are (supposedly) paying us for. You can say it is for the tokenisation but from the sounds of it QGP have set up the VGOLD-CORE token and are the supposed owner of the mining assets. I just can't make it add up and to me it feels like an attempt to pump the share price amidst what Gary himself acknowledged as poor investor confidence. Bid sits at 3p that tactic hasn't worked.

There is no shame in saying yo do not know by the way. I don't know which is why I am asking the question. If the idea is that newly issued tokens will be sold at a discounted rate in order to fund the mini operations then that makes sense for an II to buy the tokens, but if they can only offload those tokens on the secondary market that does not exist then it becomes very unattractive.

This would be fine Bash but the price of one VGOLD-CORE token is equivalent to 1 troy ounce at the prevailing LBMA spot price so why would an II with over 1million buy VGOLD-CORE as opposed to just buying gold? What is the benefit to them? Is there a secondary market here for them to sell on? What size is that secondary market?

That is the big stumbling block I see here. I just don't see the benefit of buying VGOLD-CORE when you can just buy gold and for that reason there is no secondary market making the tokens we receive very illiquid. As we are being given these tokens as well there is no cash going the other way to fund the actual mining so how is that straightened out? Are QGP going to put up the cash equivalent to get the mining started? Without any uptake from Institutional Investors on new issue VGOLD-CORE tokens then the mines will go unfunded. If new issue will be given at a discounted rate then that could attract some investors but the lack of a secondary market will instantly put them off.
