Share price is only back to where it was twelve months ago … This is still an ‘aim trader’ valuation .. even with a commercial deal in the bag .. !!

Indeed .. for all those (and their families and friends) who get to ‘ring the bell’ , it must be an emotional moment.

.. every 2 weeks for 2 years … I really can’t get my head around big pharma not liking electroporation ! When patients are prepared to go through that .. it’s amazing they look at electroporation into the arm so pessimistically .. anyway as a result of that LD and team look to have improved their position markedly!

I’d say that that kind of treatment has been around for a while . T-vec is an example.

There are obvious limitations to these treatments .. as LD said at the agm .. scancells vaccines arnt personalised and also don’t need access to a tumour.

.. her comment on nobody else is doing what scancell is doing regarding the vaccines … I guess she knows because nobody else can .. it’s all patented!!

Reflecting on the AGM .. I thought LD’s comments on vaccines and big pharma were fascinating (still out of favour!) .. let’s hope Modi1 changes their minds ! … and I’m sure if the results continue as positively as the initial indications no big pharma will want any other big pharma to own it !? (Or moditope in its entirety) !

Further comment .. there was no mention previously that the patients hearing had fully returned .. so perhaps there has been further regression of her tumour(s) ??

What are the chances that scancell recruited their first patient on full dose of modi1 … but they were about to have meaningful tumour regression anyway !? Hmmmm

Just looked up hearing issues for head and neck cancer patients and a lot of the information pertains to treatments that actually cause hearing loss !!

What might be happening is that the physical presence of the tumour is the cause of the hearing loss due to interaction with the aural nerves .. and as the tumour ‘shrinks’ .. the hearing returns?? . Makes some sense!?

Just my thoughts on the general subject of course..

I think scancell has disclosed this information (albeit a bit cloaked) for a very good reason.

I’ve looked around for some information on it and what it means.

I found this interesting .. although by the looks of it there isn’t much out there about it relating directly to cancer / cancer treatment! (Moditope is novel after all)?

As the first patient in cohort 2 after having this went on to a partial response .. are scancell suggesting they are expecting the same from the other two ?

Also with safety passed to progress to the expansion stage .. are the resulting T-cells produced of a highly specific nature (no off target issues!) ..

.. began on 16th august .. and we heard the news re the first patient .. I wonder how long it was between the first and second patient starting their trial ? The scan appointments I imagine will be at certain points during the trial ? Could we hear fairly soon how the second patient is progressing??

As they have already moved on to the expansion phase .. so updates should be to look forward to!?

I’m sure this is common knowledge but the co founder of Vaccitech is Dame Sarah Gilbert .. co developer of the Oxford / AZ covid vaccine ..

Even stranger for me is she went to the same school as my daughter currently attends ! however, sadly my daughter does not share the same interest in science ! Lol !
