Won’t say much about share trading/ investing strategies only that I guess everyone just does what is right for them .. preaching that ‘your way’ is best is meaningless as there are so many variables.

Anyway, I spent a bit of time last night researching prof Christian Ottensmeier after what I posted yesterday .. Another scientist with the brain the size of a planet it seems .. He clearly very much respects Lindy Durrant and her team and attended Scancells investor day investor day on 1st October 2013 .. I know because I was there and remember the panel discussion that took place after the meeting!

They all have learned a lot since then and are clearly persevering with what they believe will be next generation treatments!

It’s getting really interesting now and if you weren’t that bothered before, I’d say keeping one eye on scancell now might be time we’ll spent? (All only my opinion of course!)

When it comes to knowing his stuff about cancer vaccine trials and patients prognosis’ I think he’s qualified to comment and that comment to be taken seriously.

He’s also the chief investigator for Transgenes tailor made personal vaccine trial for head and neck cancer which started at the clattenbridge centre earlier this year !

Fascinated to hear further comments from him re Modi1 , perhaps in the next update?

Berm .. thanks for that link ! A good read .. and as the years have passed I definitely ‘get’ these articles more.. then I just imagine if I’ve never come across scancell before and reading something like that for the first time ..

It’s a challenge putting such enormously complex processes into plain English and I think the scancell team have got better at this !

Wednesday .. thanks for that lovely good news story .. it’s amazing the work going on to tackle cancer in all its forms !

Although this sort of cancer (blood) is not on scancells radar it is interesting to get an insight into the work going on in that arena.

I wish I could answer your question .. but the expansion of the mono therapy arms for me shouts they want more ‘statistical evidence’ sooner .. and scancell can afford to get it !

Having a chuckle this morning .. what groundbreaking research there .. I do wonder about some of these authors.. he left out quite a bit .. I wonder if it’s a bit ‘fluffy’ and ends with that conclusion ‘on purpose’ ..

Several tiny trades at 26p .. and the more sizeable two look like a bed and isa to me .. ?

If modi1 does in humans what it did in mice .. I wouldn’t be surprised if the trial is shorter than that .. these are patients with a very dire prognosis ..

There have been trials that have taken around two years !! The key is gaining Breakthrough Designation in my opinion ..

“ Two of the fastest development programs identified are Gilead’s Harvoni and AstraZeneca’s Tagrisso (NSCLC). “In the case of Harvoni and Tagrisso, both had Breakthrough Therapy designations, so both were deemed by the FDA as being transformative and capable of changing the standard of care,” noted Munos. Both drugs had multiple expedited designations, as did the 10 fastest oncology programs, the top five of which had clinical durations of 25 months or less. Both Gilead and AstraZeneca obtained FDA approval with relatively small clinical programs. “Gilead was able to clinch the registration with a smaller program than would have been required if the compound had not been that good,” noted Munos. “I don’t think anyone wanted to keep it from reaching the market as soon as possible.””
