Key point for me is - there has been little meaningful dilution here over the last 5 years, so the historic levels of 90p+ should be achievable with the business in a recovery and growth phase. Given the thematic exposure to Covid and leverage to a rising top line, that 90p+ level could be hit sooner rather than later. IMO, DYOR

Not so much that it’s been ignored, but that it isn’t a necessary assumption to demonstrate that CAR is a compelling story at these levels. The 90p+ target suggested by Frank would be a great starting point.

Key thing is - there has been no meaningful dilution in years. So the historic price chart is a decent benchmark for where this could go. Yes - they have lost the wipac division, but after years of organic growth the medical plastics division is far larger and arguably represents a better mix of business than they have ever had before. I’m holding on for a much larger rise.

Good spot, Frank. The question therefore is - why isn’t there a separate RNS about these orders? Surely it is material information which should have been released when the orders were signed off. Perhaps they are waiting for clarification on timescales and volumes before releasing who the contracts are with and what is being produced.

Interesting thing is - they have had no dilution since the £1+ days, and possibly little since the £4 days. Yes, wipac has gone and the pension deficit is higher (although it was quite large 5 years ago) - but on the other hand their investments in medical plastics over the decades are now really coming to the fore. With a £10m market cap even after this run, it hopefully has a long way to go yet...
