I’m not boasting about my profit. I’m pointing out that doing the opposite of what you suggest has resulted in profit, a point being made to you by different posters across different boards. Atb :)

Sain - we both know you dug your grave here over months and months. I would encourage people to go back and see the posts by Riddler and me at the lows, but unfortunately the board has been rammed on a daily basis with your negative bilge. Not that filling a board with negative bilge would ever encourage someone to sell, of course :)

Sain - I have fully woken up and see the shares are around double where I bought them. This is the second time I have done the opposite of what you suggest here and locked in sizeable profits. And while we’re back on planet earth - it is pretty obvious to those with half a brain cell why the bond holders may prefer a plan that reduces the risk we see numerous assets dumped into an illiquid market. The market can see that - I’ve profited from seeing that - but you have not. Atb :)

Indeed. Sain doesn’t like talking about share prices on a share price board - except to boast about a profit from shares he has been encouraging people to sell for months on end. Pity those who listened to him.

Sain - I don’t think the people who acted on your repeated negativity over the last few months - either selling at the lows or not buying - will be much comforted by your alleged profit. As DH points out, when it comes to calling prop related companies like intu, hmso, cwd - your bewildering number of negative posts in recent months has proven to be the ultimate contrarian signal. Find the shares sain has been knocking and buy them. Bang on :)

Presumably one of the reasons the bond holders may collectively agree to a standstill is that it reduces the risk that a large number of assets are dumped on the market during a period of uncertainty. It protects the asset values. In the event we see a recovery, intu will be in a better position to recapitalise at a higher share price, and pay interest coupons - which is after all, what lending institutions lend for. No certainties in this of course, but a distinct possibility. Atb

Sain - to repeat your sentiment. You are going to keep well away from predicting the share price. Well there’s a vote of confidence in the prescience of your own commentary. Little wonder - the market has gifted anyone who took the opposing view a 100%+ return so far :)

Sain - I did answer exactly your question when the shares were at 4p. We both did. Your answer was the debt holders will definitely seize the assets. My answer was - maybe they will seize the assets, maybe they won’t. Looking at the share price since, 100%+, my answer was evidently more prescient than yours. If you are going to steer well clear of predicting share prices then can I suggest you find a propco board to post your commentary on, rather than a website dedicated to predicting share prices. Atb

Sain - I think you were very sure of your opinion at 4p. Since then the shares have rallied 100%+ precisely because the outcome is not as sure as you thought. If you are intelligent, learn the lesson - “maybe” has a value.. “Sources said this weekend that the fate of struggling Intu remained in the balance, although people close to the company expressed "cautious optimism" that its banks would agree to step back from the brink. People close to the company believe its lending syndicate is likely to demur from forcing it into insolvency because of the potential value destruction that would occur”

Hmmm.. Buffett wisdom or Livermore wisdom? One is the most successful investor of all time, the other one sadly committed suicide, penniless.

Excellent point, hasiba. I think there was widespread fear when the shares were at 4-5p, which is when I was buying. But since they have risen 100% and sentiment is a little more positive. I’ve adjusted my position accordingly. ATB

I have taken some profit - about half my position - but I was buying between 4-5.5p. Sain and Gew were very sure of themselves - now the market is teaching them the value of “maybe”.... and before one claims it’s only a penny here or there - it’s about 100% so far. ATB

Our resident commentator IS changing his view. The shares are up and he isn’t quite so sure of himself. Just “maybe” something he didn’t predict will happen :)

I have little doubt that management, rothschilds and debtholders are all fixated on the TC right now. In the meantime, I hope sain is fixating on his itchy scalp which is evidently making him a little grouchy :)

Sain - it is no secret that the company is looking to restructure its capital position. The entire point of a restructuring is to move the company from a position where it is in breach, to a position where it is not. So here’s another word of advice to people - do not ask sain to restructure your property business. He appears to have no understanding that the higher the value of your assets, the more likely you are of achieving a positive outcome :)
