The exciting thing about immupharma is that they have late stage assets in blockbuster indications and are being supported in their efforts to get new trials underway by the FDA. Nolupus - As I stated, in the context of drug development 2023 is not a long time ago. Prior to the last phase 3 trial, the SPA with the FDA was agreed in summer 2013, with the trial starting in early 2016. So I suggest your interpretation of 2023 as being “a very long time ago” is misleading. I’m sure you mean well, but your scepticism has only served to repeatedly protect people from making large capital gains over the last 12 months. ATB

Hi littlegiddings. The RNS in January states “Importantly for our autoimmune therapy P140, especially for our lead indication in SLE..” and then goes on to list the potential positives of the new IP. That would suggest that p140 and SLE remain integral to the story. I agree the technology may have broader applications as the company has suggested, but as an investor this simply broadens the range of potential news triggers. Trial news re lupus or cidp, partnership news relating to p140 or individual indications, or broader development of the technology and IP = all could trigger further material rerating.

Nolupus - thank you for conceding that immupharma has indeed had supportive meetings with the FDA in relation to its late stage assets, and as recently as 2023 which is really very little time in drug development terms.. You remind me very much of poster Njb67 on the advfn board who purchased shares near the peak during the last phase 3, then tried relentlessly to offload his decision anywhere except on himself. Just coincidence, I’m sure. ATB

Nolupus - the FDA is evidently supporting immupharma to rerun the phase 3 trial at a higher dose. Whether you want to call that backing or something else is largely semantics. The point being - very few companies of immupharma’s valuation can state with confidence that they are having supportive meetings with the FDA about two phase 3 trials in blockbuster indications. We may disagree about the precise terminology, but my point is as valid now as it was at 1.5p… and I suspect that if it wasn’t for the likes of GG, wildbunch, Dallo and myself - and left down to you - it is not a point that would be made at all. At sub 2p he wouldn’t even admit to still holding the shares, coming here on a daily basis to contradict anyone who spoke positively. Now the shares have doubled, he has changed his mind. GG - as you know the main driver of value here is that the FDA have deemed p140 a phase 3 asset in two blockbuster indications. This is as true now as it was sub 2p, but it is interesting how a couple of RNS statements can push the needle of perception. Biotech investing requires patience and that is now being rewarded. We not only have two FDA backed phase 3 assets and a low valuation, we also now have funding, the knowledge that multiple pharma groups are under CDA, and the head of research identifying that material progress has been made understanding the MOA. So I don’t think it’s just a feeling something is different, but tangible evidence that things are progressing. GLA

Peterpharma - £200k per month equates to £9500 per trading day, or around 230k shares. Thats around 6% of what traded today. Yawn

The interest of the hordes has waned but the share price has not, monteacute. So frankly who cares? The asset we have is p140 at a higher dose - that is what is going to trial. If you don’t think it will make a difference, then not much logic holding the shares. Fortunately, the FDA do believe it will make a difference, and I suspect their view carries rather more substance and weight. ATB

Steve - if you look back to preparation of the last phase 3 in 2015-18, you will see there is a long gap between simbec being awarded the contract and then delivering a trial plan. The best part of a year. Trial design is a long and complex thing. Fingers crossed we hear something soon, but you need patience for this sort of investment. IMO GLA

I really think the deramping here is even sillier than the ramping. Novices suggesting they understand more about the potential of a drug than the FDA. People with evidently limited experience in biotech investment not understanding that delays are the norm, and frequently frustrate management and shareholders alike. Contrary to the sceptics suggestion, there is evidently little hype on this board. I remain a happy holder. GLA

Well. More than 24 hours later and I still don’t see many rockets and other hype. So if one were adult and grown up about these things, you’d have to conclude the opposite of montecute’s suggestion. There isn’t much hype in the price at all. I’m sure monte is busy writing the post now… Of course, if someone were charitable perhaps they could throw in a rocket or two to keep him happy, he seems to have a predisposition for scepticism and melancholy.
