@Kaeren, My family members are in hospitality and they are constantly at risk - they are frontline workers! What has Boris done to our nation! Covid is beyond politics and Boris shouldn’t be allowed to dictate the course of action. He has encouraged the public to rush headlong into the path of of a juggernaut! Where is Chris Whitty when his country needs him!? Instead we get JVTam who plays along with BJ.
Back to NCYT. RIP GM Hail DA! Great move and the amount of testing Freedom Day has generated will see DHSC resolved, sales of PCR products through the roof, LFT products launched. GM will be working like crazy to clear the desk for DA and perhaps he is on a deal to get his bonuses if he can leave the desk tidy. DA looks like the right horse for this stage of NCYT’s growth. The prospect of M&A options that DA’s connections brings could be very exciting & interesting, avenues that are not seasonal adding to a broad base of year round revenue and his experience of working with strong US focus.
Test test test
Hold hold hold
@Saintsmith, don’t know much about Chiasma, but this board has had a miasma about it with the likes of BYP. They always crawl out of from under their rocks. My take is that GM has done a good job thus far but Change of horse for the final furlong to Midcap was required. Move into US has been slow, DHSC not sorted yet, sp rubbished by shorters.
Will look into Chiasma through the miasma.
The spreadsheet will show that the vaccines are not working if case numbers fall with hospitalisation numbers and deaths increase! Will have to get a specialist company to fix the spreadsheet.
@Kitzie, interesting read, see extract below, sounds familiar!!
In Britain, for example, a government official named Arthur Newsholme knew full well that a strict civilian lockdown was the best way to fight the spread of the highly contagious disease. But he wouldn’t risk crippling the war effort by keeping munitions factory workers and other civilians home.

No mention of Microgen Bioproducts?
Do we have any intelligence of Portin Down tests results for LFT devices that bears Microgen Bioproducts name?
The daily flights landing at Bournemouth Airport directly from Fuzhou loaded with Innova LFTs will be paid for in advance!!!! Pay DHSC and stop p&ssing about! morons. Boris you are a trolley wreck, lost all direction and never had a road map! You are sh&tting on your own doorstep!
@Porky9 I was jesting with you! Not a serious question. Thank you for the response all the same
We will all do well!! So @Porky9 how come with all the buying you are doing the sp keeps languishing!!? :-) wish I had spare cash to chuck in here!!
Agreed @Shandypants that is what I am saying. They should be falling over themselves to get our test kits!!!
@ak_gabba thanks that would be most telling! With the volume of tests to be completed in a day it would make sense to crank up the Qs! Demand for PCR is high now and we have not got to the peak 100k 200k a day +
No worries @Wilson63
For me the document is good news but needs updating as it doesn’t reflect Promate allowing near patient. Speculation only - DHSC bought the first 300 units, NHS did not have sufficient lab staff so couldn’t use the Qs. PrimerDesign deliver Promate removing a pipette stage that would necessitate a Cat2 enclosure. DHSC don’t want to cough up for stock of test kit and now out of date - caveat emptor - they bought it and knew what they were buying but the end users NHS didn’t play ball. Now the ground troops need to get in there and ensure NHS know how good the Qs are!!!! NHS will be buying through Framework agreement whilst dispute with DHSC gets sorted out. Soon!
Ok Wilson63 and Ak-gabba keep your hair on. I should have read it carefully. Have another G & T.
Looks like the NHS Medway doc needs to be updated. Q16 and Q32 now don’t require a Cat2 laboratory to be used so the screenshot is out of date! Should now read ‘NEAR PATIENT’ and 80 minutes. Twitter person posting old info to get you excited! Without this encouragement the outlook is looking brighter for NCYT sp.
Stay safe to enjoy the rewards!
We’re doomed!!
Troublesome, BJ is highly intelligent having been to posh schools and has a Classics degree. What a prat, he knows f’all and is an out of control ‘trolley’. Time he stepped down and looked after all his children. We need someone who is credible. The Americans and Europeans are watching our misery in astonishment and can’t believe the recklessness of BJ and his government. His cabinet is a joke. Scientist are either compromised or silenced. Chris Witty was not there - is that because he tells it as he sees it without putting any political spin on the facts.
Anyhow, all said and done if Neilrich3’s assessment (18.04) is even close to what is happening, sales are going through the roof. That is what we are here for after all. Everything else is just us venting at the blundering trolley that keeps doing U-turns.
Keep your mask on and avoid crowds! 60% of those hospitalised are double vaccinated.
Just reinforcing what has been said others this morning. Extract from the BBC news link posted by PRB769

Dr Alexander Edwards, from the University of Reading, said the "triple tests" had "great appeal", but the logistics could be a challenge.
Whether there will be enough instruments and testing capacity available for this to be available widely in primary care remains to be seen," he said.

DHSC had the perfect opportunity to be prepared with the Q devices and best in class tests. Now we need GM to grow some big testes to drive the advantage home - no more Mr Nice guy. Then all the people being hired can get out there and smash their sales targets with ease.
Interesting re Cyprus infection rate! So Royal Navy allows crew to go on shore leave! They are on a significant operation. Perhaps it is an experiment to see what happens to double vaccinated people. You couldn’t make this up! Perhaps they are following The government travel policy?!
Sky news : Royal Navy : Covid outbreak, crew double vaccinated and more than 100 positive cases after shore leave in Cyprus. Ben Wallis not all bothered as ‘we know how to deal with it’.
Kitzie, I get that NCYT has both avenues to provide. It is just the bull****e that goes on that annoys me. The reporting does not make clear which make of LFT were tested, when, where. I suspect info cherry picked from PHE published ‘data’. As for the PCR comment it is referring to samples sent away to centralised labs. This is not made clear. Agree with you that NCYT has done a great job in giving itself the best chance of securing revenues and has delivered when others have struggled with just one product. We are debt free with the DHSC issue to resolve; I am betting that is close to being sorted.
