No need to worry unduly, the good news according to SJ ‘a normal PCR’ test can detect this really worrying variant. We can sleep soundly now? No mention of LFTs.
Orang, that would be considered cynical but then again you are correct! Sadly they are looking only after themselves. Lacking any moral fibre.
SteveV,
I would be delighted if DHSC dispute was settled to the satisfaction of all concerned especially the long suffering shareholders. Sadly the level of sleaze we are seeing on a daily basis makes me doubtful we will see an early resolution. I have skin in this game and would really welcome a dispute resolution soonest, and yes it has been said many times that we may not see resolution until the GLP judicial review is completed. No more to be said then. We are on the same page.
SteveV, given the level of corruption going on are you really surprised that the DHSC is not settling. 48 tests remain to be approved while cheap Chinese ineffective tests are foisted onto the British public and are told to ‘do an LFT’ test before going out into a crowded place. Just how moronic is that! NCYT should sell in Europe and other countries. Britain’s reputation is in the gutters. How far has the UK crown fallen ? :-( But don’t worry too much as BJ is keeping close eye on the situation and following the science!
DRB83,
Couldn’t agree more with all your points. Firstly, get the basic measures back on the table because we are not safe yet. Vaccines to date have bought us some time to get better products to stop this virus in its tracks. The policies foisted on the British public are heartless and ill conceived to gain popularity. We don’t know enough about the harm this virus is causing to us, just because you survive a bout of it doesn’t mean there are no long term effects. The need for testing is your second argument and this should have equal priority to the search for a vaccine. I really hope NCYT can deliver the 10 minute PCR test as this will be a game changer but it will need to be affordable. I would be happy to pay a fiver (price of a drink) wait 10 mins before being allowed to sit down for a meal at a restaurant. But then that is ok if you are splurging in excess of £50 a head on a meal. As a restaurateur I would want a Q16 available to protect my staff and customers. Too many reports of waning immunity and transmission risk. A lot of work remains to be done. Our sp has not got close to its potential! £54 is far fetched or is it?!
Get well soon!
£54 of course
Rishi has run out of loose change! So they are now levelling up.
Who is not greedy? Don’t be silly, if you were not greedy you wouldn’t be here!!
Great song choice, can relate to it. Hopefully we go on up from here and never look back.
Excellent promotional material. Perhaps DA is making his mark. Just need a spark to light the touch paper! Hold hold hold
Ye olde pipette technique took trained persons the NHS couldn’t spare and the arrival of Promate would solve this problem but by then the great Mullis had stockpiled in anticipation but DHSC started *****ing about this product as local trusts started to complain and refuse to use NCYT product. This problem was recognised by NCYT and Promate developed. By then DHSC had lost interest in the second phase and gone elsewhere. Yes they have bought Promate since as the already have some machines so of course new product is liked. Meanwhile stockpile lying around going past sell by date. I like the blog which likened the situation to two naval ships ordered and then cancelled. The case will be settled in our favour. End of.
Sir Digby hope they can sort it soon!!! The scandals over contract award are coming to light. They will not want this to go to court. Perhaps Co-Prep is part of the resolution, that would fire up the booster rockets. Elsewhere more procurement blunders are coming to light. Not only useless ppe but now storing at a huge cost. Next they will have to incinerate to free up the containers which are badly needed to keep supply chains moving. 10k containers or more storing worthless kit. Makes one want to weep with this monumental f up going on and our sp in the dumps due to a corrupt government. BJ the climate warrior, clown more like and not funny. Don’t wish to bring politics into the bb but then our sp is bound into the whims of a system that is broken and bent! Thanks to the likes of Poidster and others keeping us sane!
Harchris, take me hat off well played. Some of us just have to wait for this worm to turn!!
Good post Chrisdr2
Have to ignore Donald Duck and a few others. DA is a brave man to step into NCYT, however Covid is not over - no matter how hard the government (lose term) try to play it down. This will end in a disaster that is being deliberately ignored using climate change as an excuse whilst dumping sewage in clean rivers and seas. Back to Ncyt - sales ongoing and will continue for quite a while yet with alternative revenue streams being developed and promoted. NCYT making money whilst others yet to make a sale. DA has to muck out the stables before he gets to enter the race and make it into the winners enclosure.
Harchris, not a dig at all! I read your blogs with interest. No harm intended.
Hey Chrishar, sorry Harchris,
Think DA is kicking the crap out of the organisation and will be coming out of his corner delivering a few knock out punches. Shorters better be ready! He
has inherited a company with great aproduct line up, a war chest, great, no outstanding, technical people just need a dynamic leadership team to sell to the world. Happy to wait.
Great post! Brightens up a dull wet Sunday.
Woody best to sell all your shares! Please note this is not investment advice. DYOR
:)) LFT not cheaper than gold standard PCR!!!
