@Karen, Another u-turn, blame the public not his prevarication on lockdown, stopping people entering UK, absolutely shocking policy on cheap tests from China when trying to promote domestic manufacturers, crap T&T, money pi@@ed away on an epic scale (Randox, PPE, overpaid ‘project management’, shocking revelations re centralised laboratory mismanagement, the list is endless. In all this NCYT ends up with sp in the dumps. GM needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat and soon!

Agreed, all was not rosy in the garden then. What has happened to cause such a breakdown. Earlier today BBC provided blatant propaganda against PCR - too expensive and that LFT is easy to use and very reliable. Me thinks BBC was put up to this. Dark forces at play here. NCYT still has the Gold standard and ability to identify variants so the demand will remain. Just how GM is going to reassure shareholders remains to be seen. See what happens next week and the week after. Not throwing the towel in just yet. Be interesting to see what the IIs have done today!

LFTs clearly not acceptable!!

Why have NCYT hired more people if revenue is lower than H2 2020? We just can’t see the 9/10 of the iceberg! Little info from GM so what is going on? Patience being tested.

@Ad4you, here here! For the record, I have always valued VanVs posts as they provided levelheadedness when others were trying to shake our confidence n NCYT. I have also enjoyed Porky9’s passion and confidence in this stock. We all have agendas and hopes, it is up to the individual to discern if £54 is simply a ramp, I for one think it is entirely achievable. But then that is my choice. Look forward to normal services being resumed. From someone who does not contribute research....think I am not alone, but we all read and mostly enjoy the informative posts. We can figure out the obvious ‘sell up now’ and ‘load up now’ posters for ourselves. Happy Easter all.

@ShaunP, full and thorough response as always. In a nut shell then, why recruit process / production engineers? Still all good to see. Who says GM is an idiot.... far from it.

@levincoolpal, totally agree sounds like they are scaling up and needs process (chemical / mechanical) engineers to set this up. This will take time to get from drawing board to full scale production (minimum 12mths and that is aggressive). So the issue, is there sufficient third party capacity NCYT can tap into until the Eastleigh(?) facility is up to speed to keep up with demand and fulfil a large supply contract. This home grown production capacity should increase profit margin and achieve much more in a COVID world that needs to be very nimble. This in house capability can be designed with this flexibility in mind. Apart from recruitment drive, the move to expand manufacturing capacity is a sure sign how they intend to spend the cash pile and it is for beyond 2021!!!! Not a one hit wonder. So let us hear some serious sp projections and multiples on buyout. The relentless research by some on this board is amazing. So thank you. Our day is coming. GLA

Stopped reading BBC reporting ages ago as they do not really do ‘Hardtalk’. Same as the PHE personnel that keep LFT deficiencies from the public. Schools back a day and already the cracks are appearing.

@andip85, please address the false negatives, viral load and asymptomatic cases. Joe public is not going to be savvy enough (with respect) to know a negative means they still have to exercise caution. This has disaster written all over it. Susan Hopkins made statements last night on national news to suggest LFTs were as good as PCR tests. This is misleading joe public.
Out of interest are any LFT brands now approved for use in US, from recollection they stopped using them.

The Susan Pea**** propaganda machine is in overdrive! Did you know LFT are as good as PCR tests?! There is is no coming back from having spent billions on these carp tests. Sadly we just have to watch the fallout from the sidelines.

@Porky9, help me out here. If an offer is made then GM would have to notify the shareholders for approval? At the moment private investors hold sway. This stuff is above my pay grade. Clearly many tricks can be played here by an acquirer to get the company cheaply. The only thing we can count on is that there is more than one suitor for a company that has no debt, cash sloshing about in the coffers, great products a very good relationship with DHSC, getting a foothold in US, POC devices coming into their own, PCR tests that are beating others, What is not to like. All this talk on the board is designed to unnerve the small guy. This is attrition to grind the PIs out. Time for contract news to land and stop buy out rumours.
