In addition, those systems are based on technologies which will be used for the deployment of connected and automated vehicles too. Therefore, harmonised rules and test procedures for the type-approval of vehicles as regards those systems and for the type-approval of those systems as separate technical units should be established at Union level.

So, assuming it goes through on Thursday. Does the EU set the spec and the test methods for a DMS system? You could not just say fit a DMS in all vehicles by 2025 without some standards.

Why the stats say 14086 and the Management think 18000 I cannot understand.

I have also no idea what "Installation" actually means. Is it fitted and working and sending data, Fitted and ready to use when contract starts, fitted in new vehicle and awaiting delivery. I guess many more options. Some units are recorded as an installation and then a few hours later it gets removed.

No mention of fleet recently. Since we obtained the means to see how many installations were live is gone up by 330 units to 13945 or an average of 15 per day. The 10 day moving average is now 19.5 per day so things look to be getting better. It looks like the number coming through are becoming a regular pattern.

I assume we are using US$ . Are we saying income should = 20 US$ per car and 30 US$ per month monitoring fee for fleet ? What do we get from off road?

After the Live data went down on Monday the km figure increased by approx. 100 million km when it came back up. The number of new installations also seems to have made a jump to approx 25 units per day, but early days yet. The problem is what vehicles are included in these figures. The figures are showing 13743 units installed but what does that mean. Are the units on the road and contributing to the km travelled.

The live data on the web page is giving a figure 200,000,000km lower than last week but the number of installations has gone up slightly. The other measures are all down. It did the same last Monday when it restarted after it was shutdown for the day.

We will know more with time but could the increasing numbers in km be because Guardian BDMS figures are getting added to the fleet numbers? A jump of 2000 units in a few weeks seems odd. A big jump in km happened yesterday approx. 4pm uk time, 8am US west Coast time I think !
The live data was down all day Monday, we were told about a new way to monitor on Tuesday and the numbers jump at 4pm on the same day.

I want to ask how you found this, but I will resist. What other metrics are in the system ?
