Dont' mind at all the traders have landed. Lets have the liquidity they have provided. We loaded up 1.7p, 2p, 3.5p, 5p, whatever and will never see those prices again once the company brings the next tranche of news.

Very happy that Horizonte has gone from sleeping giant to 'the next big thing'. Don't care if people are buying, selling, daytrading, any of it. We're at 100mcap now, people's radars, we will have a mix of people with different targets. Bring on the finance news, we're going places!

Westie has a chance to trade up and down some. Those with the long view have the opportunity to sit back, investment is safe, watch the returns in year to come. Many many times upsides from here still :-) Don't be too tempted to cash out yet. GLA

That was JPM buying :-) As we crossed the £100m mcap line. Can't make it up :)

notready1 - I suspect if you wanted they could raise 100% of the Araguaia finance through giving half of Vermelho away in a JV, Vermelho is that good. No debt etc on Araguaia. A pre-paid royalty on the other hand might provide suffiicient capital to progress permitting DFS.

Obviously the reason not to do that is - if you don't have to :) And can get Araguaia financed on good terms.

There's a chance of following outcome here:
- Finance Araguaia organically, don't touch Vermelho
- JV on Vermelho which provides capex to accelerate P2 and potential early dividend

I would not be complaining too much about the above. That route would suggest we stay indpendent though, well, at least a while depending on the JV. I know of several PIs here and on twitter who really really like the idea that we go into production, retain 1.5 mines (100% Araguaia 50% Vermelho) with the best funding mix to get maximum production earliest. I wouldn't be adverse to that outcome!

pickedpeck you may be correct and then we have two scenarios which will help us hopefully:
1. Our SP will be double digits soon. So if you buy us at premium you will be buying double digits - perhaps below what PIs wanted, but still well north of where we are. I guess many here would consider anything less than 20p pretty paltry for what we have. (I don't think it will get sold for less than 20p in any scenario - even firesale).
2. In a bidding war of course 'minimum value' goes out of the window. Once two (or more) big fish want to eat the little fish it gets interesting. It could go for way above fair value in that scenario.
Will be interesting to see what happens with EUA and whether they have multiple bids we may never find out we may only find out the buyer. That's not a done deal probably and I don't understand it (not the reason I sold) but watch with interest. Similar thing could happen here in due course.

By the way I think we are about to get some extra 'protection' from cheap TO. I see very much Orion taking equity and they aren't here to double their money. Once they are firmly entrenched it is going to take $$$ down the line to part them with their stake. Orion being added to the equity holders will be a very good move for PIs.

What do I mean by the equity raise being noise? All I mean is we might raise 30% new equity now, call it 500m shares.
When the bid comes, they might table initially £600m. Horizonte say 'not enough' and invite counterbids. Eventually sells for £900, 50% above original bid. Then the 30% extra shares we issued today in the raise become slightly irrelevant, you can recover that in the sale (if your asset is good enough).

I await the finance items eagerly like all here but I think it will be really good not just for the numbers, but the participants. You can't understate how important WHO wants to be part of this journey (Orion, Teck, Glencore) others is. To the eventual outcome here. Probably much more important than exactly what % of the co is in equity, offtakes etc. WHO is often more important than WHAT. GLA

600Thieves agree - and my comment wasn't at all about the equity SP raise, there will be a very different dynamic in play. If the equity raise is done at sufficient premium for sufficiently low % of the finance then it becomes 'noise' to the eventual takeover. Like it might affect the T/O value down the line by +/- 10%.

If (as for example TDT believes) we see a pre nickel boom nickel market consolidation the value of this company is enormous. Huge. Beyond what I invested for for sure. The BOD know this, and they have to spend the next 2-3 years at least doing everything in their power to get this company positioned best position for that moment if the offer comes. And then if they believe it undervalues the company to fight the T/O of course.

I suppose my point is we could get 50p today in a T/O, the shareprice now is irrelevant. Would a major pay it today? We will see, maybe not. But if they don't, they'll be paying more than 50p in 3 years time.

Just to conclude, none of the below implies that if the offer comes in 3 years time, with a working mine, and a higher prevailing nickel price, and Vermelho permitted (DFS done even?) the sale price wouldn't be higher than today. Just that the sale price today would still be a very big number, almost certainly a number 80%+ of PIs here would be very content with. GLA
