EUA had about twice as many shares in issue I think so we shouldn't ignore the fact that 25p there is equivalent to 50p here. Both fantastic assets and who knows which is worth more in the long run but absolutely no reason to believe our $50bn asset is not a $bn company maker in due course. It's all about the 'what is due course' for some it will be too long for others, well we have to try and stay patient and very very big numbers are possible in years to come.

the_watcher undeniably this company is worth £200m at what point the market values it as such - before finance terms are known or after I guess we find out. But definitely possibly, $50bn nickel says so.

I don't know GGP but situation is slightly different with EUA because you have the 'for sale' sign up and a major investment bank involved which signals/confirms interest. I've argued on another post here if Horizonte did the same - announced 'for sale' and appointed an investment bank we would see a very very rapid re-rate to a minimum price people think we wouldn't sell for, be that 20p/30p whatever.

So nothing rampy about £200m but we have to wait and see! Many experienced investors here don't want us to be sold (just yet) because see much bigger valuation into the nickel bull market and when our projects are further advanced. GLA

pickedpeck yes I spotted it and thought it was significant. These guys don't just 'disappear' and I know Horizonte were talking to credit export agencies relatively early and sounded very confident. Hopefully more debt to come but also - I think people are missing the offtake angle. With revenues ~$230m/yr at sufficient nickel price forward selling a bit you don't need to sell that much production to land a significant chunk of remaining capex. Secondly you get a confirmed customer which lets face it everyone (including banks) will like to see. 'Tier 1' offtakers no less. GLA

SausageArm if it helps, I've been here for 2.5 years and I'm around 2.5x my average now. If you're feeling brave, I'll wager in 2.5 years from now you'll also hit 2.5x todays SP. 20p is my pessimistic target for start of production early 2023 and many more experienced people than me on this board expect it to have plenty of upside from that number. So I would argue you haven't missed out, but of course that depends a lot on your investment timeframe! I'm looking for 30p+ exit and pretty confident we'll get there, but might need patience. GLA

jamesdean I'm starting to believe you (and djryan who has similar numbers) might well be right. We doubled in 2.5 weeks. That's 3+ months away. We know the assets and what they are worth. Looking very possible now.

Jeremy Martin said we might have finance news 'Q3'. SP has stagnated a while so I thought (bit like the EUA guess the price) to start one here so I opted for the middle trading day on the middle trading month of Q3 which also happened to be an exact number of trading days from when I started the compo.

Unfortunately I can't can't and September 15th isn't the middle of Q3 at all as someone kindly pointed out to me.

So that's the long story but the short story is nothing, us old timers were waiting patiently for some news 'one day' and picked that day. We're all pretty chuffed at the sp action I can tell you.

institutional buying here can wipe the float in 0 time. I don't know when it will happen but it is going to get interesting. Perhaps they need finance complete. But that's a whole new type of investor.

Since I've been invested in this fund ii's have only ever sold. It is going to get mighty interesting when they start buying. They will want to hoover up all the retail shares for sure. They ain't having mine. GLA

did anyone watch trades today any pattern? Just a quick scan it looks reasonably 'retail' on first glance?

I don't know exactly what trigger we need whether £100 mcap is sufficient or if funds need further pieces of funding jigsaw before they confidently buy but what we saw on EUA was at the point where it started getting interesting ridiculously large trades started landing, £100k+.

They say follow the smart money but if you're already invested before them what does that make you :)

must confess when we started moving I really thought the £100 mcap might prove a barrier, market seems to like these numbers as something tangible 'is this company worth more or less than £100m' etc. We cut through it pretty much like cheese on the day and close above. Amazing how these things work.

There will be a bit of see sawing around I'm sure in the runup to finance complete there will still be twists and turns but we have firm momentum (a word the Canada Nickel chap likes a lot), there should be plenty of newsflow and you have to say September being last month in Q3 is very much 'business end' of Q3 so nobody should be surprised by more news landing.

So volatility ahead, traders will trade, it may even drop a bit here and there, but given the fundamentals + nearterm news, onwards and upwards from here. GLA!
