I guess it is to some, but when you look at it compared to what he has earned from AST in the same time frame it is a very small amount. But his response is concerning as I read it that he doesn't understand the PI, imagine the trouble AST would be in if we all took his view ?

Stockdale, I appreciate your answer, it is the 1st time anyone has responded, including 3 emails to Colin that have gone unanswered. The options are part of his renumeration not a capital investment but you get that, just Colin doesn't, reason being he isn't taking on any risk just benefits from the upside so gives you a different mindset. I also raise the same question to other stocks that I hold where I have held for sometime such as NUOG, however those that I have more recently brought into the BOD have significant investment such as LVCG & BIDS.

I really can't see any positive in it's current state, I would say that Colin is of the same mindset as otherwise he would have invested his own cash ? I have asked this question on many occasions yet never have I had any answer to it, the question gets ignored.

Stockdale, Yes there are still upsides to take into account, but while Colin is in post I ave little faith that the potential will become reality, after all despite the timeline that he has previously offered up these have not materialised ?

Also, can you give me a good reason why he hasn't invested his own cash in this amazing opportunity and please don't say because he is inside as he could have take stock at plenty of time in the last 18 or so months ?

Sorry the market does understand that historically this company has been diluted beyond belief & failed to deliver, therefore a complete lack of trust in the current management who are taking out over £200k a year with no risk to themselves

I have always found that Simon responds within a day or so, unless he is on holiday, sometimes I get a response well after hours or at the weekend. The questions I ask are never ones that I know there is no way that he will be able to answer as its a waste of time, both mine asking and him responding.

I would say even when I have been fairly blunt & direct with him around things such as the frequency & quality of comms I've always had a timely response

I have no doubt that there will have been plenty of trades that Zorbas & his buddies will have not declared in URU, I also think that once the likes of the FCA & SFO start to look into this, which I believe they are doing currently, they will move into URU as URU / JZ hold MRS

I really hope that the authorities unravel the whole web of deceit

Simon's probably gone on holiday to escape the rantings of the shareholders, and as far as I am aware everyone is entitled to holiday, I am sure you take a holiday from your job ?

Also quite interesting are the assumptions on people lifestyles, do you know which cars the people drive & where they go on holiday ? even if you do are you fully aware of their history or what they have going outside of work.

You seem very happy to jump to conclusions, can I suggest that you slow down & think, we all know & knew that NUOG was & still is a risky investment as after all there are far more failures than successes in the O&G sector, maybe your mindset isn't suited to this area and you should consider the FTSE250

Patience is certainly required, especially after all the initial hype and the activity in August / September, since then it been a drip feed of activity to add to the story so we know that they are busy building the brand and awareness.

But some of this is down to DC's comms back when it was all going well and setting some very high expectations.

I am like many other sitting on a loss waiting for the numbers to be added to the story that hopefully means we return to an upward trajectory, but I can't stop having a nagging doubt in the back of my mind.

I hope I am proved wrong and that we get the news & reaction that we are all hoping for.

yes that's it, having a competent BOD would mean that the companies interests would be the focus of their actions rather than the current BOD that are doing everything they can to extract as much as they can to their own pockets with the least amount of work.

It is quite clear that the current board did not want the share holders to read what they said, that clearly shows the lack of transparency that the existing BOD want to maintain.

URU is Zorbas's cash cow & nobody else is allowed to milk it

As always with NUOG I think we are all guessing on what could come and when ?

I would suggest that we replace the words ' think ' with ' hope ' as I don't believe that anyone outside of the company has any knowledge on the progress of the various ongoing conversations / negotiations, its just piecing together the words from the RNS's against the back drop that as each day goes by the amount of cash reduces. This isn't helped by the sporadic nature of the comms that we receive. It is interesting that since Feb it has mainly been GTW discussed but in recent weeks in Social Media the old chestnut of Brazil has been getting some mentions, then we also have NFL that also has reappeared.

As it stands now there is very little belief in the story, due to previous promises not being delivered against, therefore the valuation is based on the numbers, which we all know currently don't look pretty. Obviously failure to complete a deal will mean that once more a placing would be required for the business to limp forward, which based on the last debacle won't be pleasant and bring out the nonbelievers in their droves.

Whichever way to goes the narrative that I brought into is still there so that is why I still hope that my currently decimated investment will eventually come good, but I do fear that we could go lower before we go higher.

The reason for this is that it was quite commonly known that Minty wanted to do a debt for equity deal at as an advantageous price to him as he can get, and currently I think he still harbours a grudge post the AGM and he now has visibility of a far lower price than it was, so his greed kicks in once more. But which ever way it goes he needs a deal to complete for him to get his hands on the big pot of gold he believes he has earned.

I was in exactly the same space, just fortunate to take my initial capital out back in the heady days of 2.4p

But it doesn't stop my frustration at the continual failure & inaccuracies coming from Colon.

The lessons that AST have taught me -

1 - Make sure the BOD have invested their own cash at a reasonable level
2 - Be fully aware of the fully diluted position
3 - Be wary of businesses operating in ' less mature ' economies

Taking that learning into investments I've made after learning from AST my PF performance is on an upward trend

Hopefully they will go back to BMD closing his positions, or at least I hope they are & they hurt him.

I can't see how they can ignore the MRS issues as its so blatant, that said I would expect Zorbas to wriggle away from any recourse on the matter, but maybe other parties will face the consequences. If that happens I would expect the microscope to shift to URU and then Zorbas will take it private if he doesn't think he can raise against the asset again.

It is all about how he gains personally from it, and if he can't he won't want anyone else to.
