CK1 - in the main I agree with you, the only slight difference is your comment about playing into the companies hands, I truly believe that you're giving them too much credit, and there in lies the problem they simply aren't as smart as they think they are, that is abundantly clear in Minty's sanctimonious behaviour which is the root of the majority of the issues.
When someone questioned him about his investment in the company at the AGM he simply does not understand the point that was being made, the LTH's want to see him buy shares in NUOG but in his mind the debt that sits in the the various other entities he sees as his investment. Yet it is clear that the BOD should have done as the likes of Nigel Burton did & took shares in lieu of payment, but no they are all far happier looking for more advantageous ways to benefit.
Unfortunately I feel that they have backed us into a corner and they will get their way, but for me I want to see significant investment from all of the main individuals. Graham should have made a statement when he joined by taking a stake in the company or agreeing a bonus plan paid in shares at a price when he joined. Damian & Alison should both have invested in the business, these would be real signs of commitment & belief, the fact they haven't done to date tells me a lot, and they are now at the point that the SP is so low if they buy now it will add fuel to the fire of the LTH's pain.
The only option I can see being palatable is an issue of options but at a serious stretch to the current SP linked to gates that are firm, fiscal & with a tight timeline to work to. I discussed this with Simon & Damian at the AGM and have followed it up on a call I had with Simon & Graham some months ago as it is a scheme I have implemented & participated in at previous companies so I offered to assist them in the mechanics of the scheme, I was told that Damian was too busy to do it, but on his list of things to do. Now I would love to know what else he has been doing in the meantime as there certainly isn't any invoices to raise !!!!
