LT,
Well done for running a successful business for 40 years, that is some achievement in the current climate and what you choose to do with the gains are clearly your choice. But I do think that when you post something that states your belief "maintaining the patience to see my investment in NUOG rewarded ................ and quite soon too I believe! " you leave yourself exposed.
You hold a large position and previously held " insider ' status & have had dialogue with Minty directly, one assumes ' off the record ' therefore some people will take your views based on your history & assume that the view is based on you being given the ' nod & wink ' which we all know Minty has utilised for many years.
If you are deducing that we are seeing progress " quite soon " and this is based on the recent RNS's & the tweets off the back of the Siemans client event yesterday then personally I don't take the comments too seriously. As you know previously we have seen a flurry of tweets about many other areas of the business that haven't been followed up, this could be the case here ?
Like you I haven't sold a single share & have an average above where we sit today, which is painful after being handsomely up on my investment previously. However unlike others on here I don't carry a chip on my shoulder, I pressed the buy button based on my research & the story and I knew the risk & the history when I did so, I'm content to let the story play out. But what has happened here has been exaggerated by people continually making claims that something is happening very soon & then nothing, I recall you being very confident that we would see deals announced before your daughters wedding, by my recollection maybe the deal will be an anniversary present ?
The only source of information about a deal that I will take any comfort from will be via the official channels, until then I do hope the continual back & forth on timings based on speculation stops, as all it creates is false expectations that when they aren't delivered creates negativity.
After all we have 1 head in the business who's main role is share holder communications, I gather he spends most of his day responding to PI's, I'd rather they are left alone to focus on closing business.
