S - I have far too many tranches of SNG, half in the 170+ and half in the sub 140's. Happy to sell some for a profit and hold the others for the future! Been boring recently just holding SNG, ASC etc!

Curious, if you own property overseas, and don't go for many months / years, do you have house keepers / groundsmen to look after it?
We looked at getting a villa in Florida back in the 90's, £45k for 4/5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, pool, double garage etc. ( the then uk house had cost 60k for a 3 bed detached!! ). But local taxes and fees, and upkeep was mandatory and several thousands a year. Considered letting out ( I am not too keen! ) and would barely have covered the costs!

Instead it's near annual event to have 2 - 3 weeks in Florida, Kissimee / Orlando area in a villa with car ( 3.2l V6 turbo mustang last time! ) , do the parks, eat the steaks and lobster and shop!

Itchy fingers, sold the cheap SNG shares at 23% profit. More tranches to go!
Will buy back if they fall back.

ASC bobbing around, maybe peaked, ( should have sold when in 4540's ) could sell at a loss and buy back if they fall into 4400's again ..... decisions decisions....!

S - Yes, watching SNG and ASC, both climbing!!! I can take some profit in the ISA on SNG bought @ 85p , but being greedy!
ASC nearing my lower buy in price so maybe shift those too!

EU says 1 of the 3 sticking points sorted, leaving fish and one other. Markets may like that!

T - He finished Uni last year, stayed up there in a rented room and got a temping job early this year. Furloughed at the end, then next job fell thru. Then had symptoms and had to isolate! With lockdown and the tier 3 stuff, he's not wanted to travel esp. on the trains.
He probably wants to settle up there!

I don't recognise most of those shares and too lazy to look them up right now!
Nice expected dividend rate though on most of them.

As long as you are getting what you need/want from this p/f then great!
There may be ideas for profit / fun on the Brigade board, where you recently posted, that's mainly day traders, and people who bought too high, bought more on the fall, and stuck with an expensive p/fright now ( me !! ). { CCL, MCRO, GGP, SYME, NCYT, SNG, etc. }.

As R says, there do seem to be synergies here across which shares we follow / trade ... maybe we copy each other or use the hints and intelligence here!

Quiet day, after getting an Ocado delivery this morning at 10 ( booked for 11 ) which should have been here 17:00 Wednesday - warehouse operational problems! At least got "20 off! Other half does this survey thing scanning the shopping for Neillson, I had to do it and took over an hour!

Then Internet went down, had to reset router etc., finally came back!

Anyway, on LSE the GGP spread is 1.5%. It's often 0.75 - 1.0p difference on screen.

Looks like ASC recovering again, but not much else!

GGP - II's taking profit on the news, MM's holding down price for buys in at mate's rates ... and MRE was lower than expected - expected 5million ounces of gold, only 3.4 - 4.2 million ounces depending which bit you read! Hopes were for 10 - 20 million oz!
But this is only the initial estimate, and only a small part of the tenements GGP are working!

SNG moved up again on sentiment and perhaps a sniff of news?

ASC moved up quite a lot... hopefully continue up tomorrow!

O - quite right. Bullying EU. I forsee the whole thing collapsing in next 2 - 5 years with all their budget problems, failed economies in several countries, majority of countries gain far more than they contribute and Germany and France fed up with it ... as seen in early Lockdown! Seems very Animal Farm.
Perhaps if everyone stopped buying anything from Europe - wine, cheese, cars etc. that would teach them!!!
And stopped holidaying there too!

I expect a bit of trade off on the sticking points - keep our fishing waters but allow more quota ( we don't use any where near all of it! ), agree not to undercut EU companies but allow support for UK industry, and toss a coin to resolve disputes! ( or pass to the UN perhaps? ).

We'll have a better idea after the weekend.
